Feb.4,2006. Who else is sailing?

Gosh, is anyone left out there? We're not leaving until tomorrow (Friday) at 3 pm. We are staying at Coronado Springs Friday night and plan to do the extra magic hours at Epcot (nothing like starting to burn the candle from both ends and in the middle from the get-go)!

We are all packed and bags are ready to be thrown in the car...just trying to concentrate on work (nigh impossible) and do the last minute little things like clean my kids bunny cages and give the house a onceover so we don't return to a pigpen.

I know a lot of folks have already left, but there must be some sad souls like us that don't leave until tomorrow...

skylynx - I am still here. We fly out this evening. I can't believe you are already packed. I am scrambling - as always.

Me too we leave fri eve- flight not til 7p into orlando at 10:30then to Marriot until pick up at 9:15. with a quick stop for Adult beverages on the way to port. Just got home from work last night and a few last minute stops - Hope I have every thing now. So I still have a whole nother day to rethink all the packing I have already done.
See you soon
:smooth:

I leave Saturday morning! :)

I'll be working up until then -- went home to sleep for 3 hours last night.

Sometimes I think vacations aren't worth it!

I should really start packing soon . . . .

Wow, Marcy, sounds like you win the "latest leaver" award. Hopefully there's a deck chair with your name on it you can plop in during the days at sea to catch your breath!

We packed this weekend because I didn't know what kind of work days I'd be having this week. It ended up quiet, but it is a good feeling avoiding the run around at the last second trying to find the (fill inthe blank) that I absolutely must bring! Plus I am a bit of a travel witch, and will worry myself into a frenzy if I think I'd forgotten something critical (like our annual passes or hotel confirmation numbers or trading pins!) And as I mentioned before, for once we appear to be spared having a major snowstorm threaten a flight to Florida, so all my worry power is being diverted to wondering if I've forgotten anything.

Fear not, once on the ship with my sailaway cocktail in hand, the travel witch goes back in the suitcase until it is time to go home.

I just printed our boarding passes. We leave in the morning for the flight to MCO.

Picking up an Avis rental then driving to the Hampton Inn Cape Canaveral.

Ill drop that off at 10ish then take their shuttle to the port.

We will be sitting on that semi circular couch near the entrance to the gangway..............

We are also leaving tomorrow morning. Staying at the airport Hyatt and then taking the Disney bus.

We look forward to meeting everyone onboard at Bill's little get together.

Till then,
Steven

Well Jeremiah and I finally finished packing and we leave in 7 hours for the airport. Yea! :mickeyjum Anyway it is so nice to have all the bags sitting by the front door ready for us to grab on the way out. Although our dog doesn't think so. He always get very suspicious when the bags come out of the garage! See you guys on the ship, or at the terminal party:

It's Johnna, but I'm on Mark's computer and it's logged in as him.

We're at the Radisson!!!! Slightly chilly to swim today but the kids don't care! Good thing Mark is the greatest dad and went into the pool with them, cause it would not have been me in there! Went to Durango's Steak House in Cocoa Beach - so yummy!!!! I highly recommend it. Margaritas, rail drinks and wine are always 2 for 1 - but the food was well worth it as well!! It's right on A1A attached to the Best Western, across from Publix. Not more than 10 minutes from the Radisson.

Local weather predicting rain tomorrow afternoon, but let's hope it holds off. May send the boys to Kennedy Space Center but Katie will bored I think, so we may stay here for me to do our manicures and take some much needed naps!

Marcy - CALL IN SICK ON FRIDAY!!! Seriously - you need some time to get ready. Again, if DH has to pack, think of what your pictures will look like at least until you get to St. Maarten for a new wardrobe! :rotfl2: Seriously though, unless your client is averse to my firm, I will buy you a drink. You deserve it. Hope you get some rest before Saturday.

Who will start the trip report??? I want to, but then there's the pressure of posting every day. Have to think about when to fit that in each day... Again, such problems to have... :goodvibes

Can't wait to meet you all in two days. Already have Bill's cabin memorized - 8532 at 2:30. See you then!!!!!!!!

Just got back from dinner at Boma. The restaurant is everything anyone ever said about it. It's GREAT!

My stomach has been in turmoil since my cat died on Monday, so eating as much as I did at Boma was probably not nice...But well worth the pain :)

We got to AKL at 2AM last night (this morning), and the kid behind me on the DME bus threw up on the way from the airport. The family had been on planes since 9am that morning, and the airline lost their luggage, so I can see where the stress factor was pretty high...

We slept late today and then explored the resort. What an amazing place!

Tomorrow night is the Spirit of Aloha. In the morning I think we're doing BB. I just hope my stomach settles down...

Got the bags packed and ready to wait for supershuttle in the morning.........

One last post before leaving... Everyone have a safe trip to the ship!

Right now it is cold, wet, and windy in Dallas.

Looking for better weather in another state!

Steven

Well, no BB this morning -- it's raining too hard!

Hi, Everyone

We're leaving for Midway Airport in two hours. It is snowing like crazy, but no accumulation is expected because the ground is too wet and it's a bit too warm. Our golden retrievers are already sulking about us leaving, but our two horses had racks full of hay when we just checked on them at their barn and were pretty unconcerned we wouldn't be around to ride them for a week or so.

Lets all cross fingers, eyes, and everything else that the rain skips our sailaway party...it's one of my favorite cruise moments. We'll be at Coronado Springs tonight and go to Epcot if we get in on time and it isn't too soppy...otherwise it'll be Pleasure Island and the Adventurer's Club for us. Kungaloosh!

If we're the last ones out, we'll shut off the lights!

If anyone is at the Radisson and wants to join us for reakfast tomorrow, PM me or call us in 209.

I CANNOT believe we cruise tomorrow!

Mark

We are at the Hampton and will be at Avis early AM.

America West changed the plane from a 757 to and Airbus 320. That left 35 less seats. They were offering free round trip tickets if we got on the 1PM flight.... but getting into MCO at 7ish wasnt something I wanted to do.

We have a day room at the Airport Hyatt on the way back... flight does not leave till 5ish.

This rain sucks!

Its not looking like its going to give up until tomorrow night.

Well, its going to be a rough ride for a bit... I just put a patch on.

The sail away party will be a bit hard in the rain!

Well, I assume you are all here in Florida. What did you bring with you???? It was lovely all week, and I just finished the last of my work and almost had a heartattack when thunder/lightning hit so hard that my house shook. Please send this weather back to whence you came! :)

I'm blaming Kat! :rotfl2: :rotfl:

DH and I cruised the Eastern Magic two weeks ago so we are reliving our cruise through you guys. We have been following the weather in Cocoa Beach and I am sending lots of pixie dust your way. Best wishes to all and HAVE FUN!!!!

We are back home...I can't believe we were on the MAGIC this morning...and now we are back on the couch at home. So sad. what a WONDERFUL trip. Truly spectacular. it was so totally amazing.

Is this where people will post here on out to talk about the trip? Is there another board?

Also, rebooking incentives...we didn't look into them on the ship and now regret it...did anyone know what deals they were giving out and how far out you could book and how long after the end of our trip (today) we can take advantage of it if we didn't ON the ship?

Also, when do we find out about our Castaway Club member #? I am happy to now be in the club. :)
