FEB 3, 2008 ABROAD DISNEY WONDER--Who else??

I completely understand! Trying to decide when our next cruise will be has become my new little obsession! I can't imagine trying to make all the decisions involved onboard! 3,4,7 night, east or west, time of year, etc., etc, etc!!! I think I have DH convinced it only makes sense to book another one in the next year so we are only pulling 1 kid out of school instead of 2. I have even gone so far as to check out the meets for the cruises I am considering to see who else would be on board. Okay, I'll admit confession may be a little overboard even for me

LOL, yes, theses cruises can be very addicting! but you can't beat the great onboard offer for rebooking

When I left the hospital tonight she was at 92% and starting to smile. So I think she is feeling better. I know she is doing better....it is just convincing the doctors of that. She is so abnormal with her sats, temp, bloodwork, etc...that I have a hard time convincing them.

Of course it isn't! I call it "putting a cruise into play". If I don't know when we can go next, I just book the cheapest one as far out as we can.

I'm the same way with all of our trips, not just Disney. I booked this cruise right after getting home for our big family winter trip. I'm a huge detail person when it comes to planning vacation. It's almost as much fun as the trip itself for me.

I don't even tell my DH about the DIS Board stuff. A week prior to the Panama Cruise I started to tell him a little bit about the group so he wouldn't be overwhelmed......well, I didn't tell him enough! It was a huge group and when we walked into Parrot Key for lunch the first day, all kinds of people were saying Hi to us. He got kind of nervous and whispered "who are these people"? We had a lot of fun with the group though and I wouldn't trade them or the times on that trip for anything.

Actually, just this past Tuesday, I did book our summer trip to WDW & VB. Now I don't have to leave this trip to WDW all sad because now I know exactly when we're going back! Hopefully (if all goes as planned ), I will be feeling the same as we exit the ship!

It's funny-I have my good friend who actually got me introduced to the DIS. I try to just tell her all my "stuff" instead of my family. She appreciates it like I do! We're both a little Disney crazy!

When you do all think we'll get our stuff? The last time we sailed was over 2 years ago so I don't remember the time frame! I need to have that in hand!!!!

I have to tell my story-
My DD6 made a cute little calendar-like chart....lots of squares all lined up. On it, she wrote times of the day and put in "check-in", then "buffet for dad & papa", and the last one she got to was "sail away." Then she came up to me and said "uh, so mom, after the sail away, is it going to work out for you if we then head on over to the club?" I about died trying not crack up laughing!! She is MY daughter- a total disney planner!!! And the way she said it so casual was hysterical! Then she was quizzing me for 20 minutes about what the schedule was going to be in "the club" for that night. I couldn't take it anymore so I told her I knew this great place online that probably had a copy of the recent schedule. That's my next stop after this- thank goodness people on here are so thorough!

I'm having trouble convincing DW to attend the Pirate Party on board the cruise. I was going to send her some (hopfully) intriging info, and maybe some pictures of past parties, but I can't seem to track down any info on this.

Can anyone post any links to where such stuff is available.

I fear that if DW Lisa doesn't go, then DS Aaron will also decide its "stupid", and will bow out as well.

I hope every member of the Krewe is planning on dressing up for this. My costume is so cool I'll feel like a cast member if no one else is dressed out.

P.S. Trivia Question: Who gets my curse at the begining of this post? Hint: Ask your kids.

Most of my family doesn't enjoy being in the thick of things at the PoC Party. It is very loud and crowded. But it is really great fun to watch the activities from up on Deck 10. We will definitely go and check everything out. I never saw a buffet. Probably b/c we had late seating. Too Full!!!

Whether to pack a costume or not is the only thing you need to decide ahead of time. If you feel like checking out the party, just wander on up. If it's too irritating, wander on back down. DW & DS can wear the bandana they pass out at dinner if the mood strikes them. Throw a couple of eye patches and hoop earrings in your bag and you're a pirate! If not, it's still a lot of fun.

P.S. I must be getting old or jaded. On our first Disney cruise we were right in the middle of the Sail Away & New Years Eve Parties and had a blast. Now I'm content to watch from the sidelines. Maybe this time we'll get out there and dance!

As many people that participate, that's how many treats we make. And only once (so NOT times each of the 4 days). We'll just deliver on different days.

How about this-
I'll deliver mine on that Monday. Who wants Sun, Tues, and Wed?
Let's start with that and if more than 4 people are interested, we'll just have more than one person delivering per day.

I'd like to deliver on Wednesday - Chinese New Years Eve...oh, and Pirate Night! I will also go for one bag/item per stateroom. If I end up getting something that lends itself to getting one for everyone in the cabin, I will.

Tara must think I'm psychotic. I told here yes to magnets, no to tink exchange, yes to gift bags, maybe to Magic Kingdom P&PP....I'm just trying to catch up with you all and get all our travel plans in place!

I think I said I'd do Monday, which is still fine. But I now got a second set of things for Pirate night too! I went out to get my stuff and couldn't decide between my Disney treat bags or the pirate ones and I kept finding stuff for both- so I decided both!

If it works out that we're both doing pirate night- it's just more fun for the Krewe that day!

Now to actually bring the stuff in from my car and spread it all out and start putting it together- oh boy, better do that with the girls while DH is at work or I'm sure I'll get some eye rolls.

I am sitting here sorting out my magnets (whew, there are alot of them) and getting excited about passing them out...I figure I will be roaming the halls at night putting up magnets. Getting the docs a few weeks out- IT IS A FEW WEEKS OUT! I need my docs!! Well, at least it gives me something to stress about for a couple days or so.

I just bought a princess hanging letter organizer on ebay for $3.00 brand new. It looks like it will totally work as a fish extender. We'll see...I may be scrambling to make something the night before.

Hi guys...me again!

We are still in the hospital. She is doing MUCH better today though. Her oxygen level is staying up and she ate by mouth today.

We have made an appointment for Easter week to get a feeding tube put into her stomach so we don't have to do this again!!! I have been putting this off for 12 years...I guess it is finally time.

I think I signed up for Tuesday night since it was Mardi Gras day for gift exchange....but looks like alot of people have that same night for pirate night. Can someone post a daily list.

About linking the reservations....I did not call since Jade was in the hospital. I will call tomorrow night, so if you want to link up for main seating send me your reservation number via PM or email.

I need everyones room numbers so we can make a master list for these magnets to be exchanged. Please get it to me the week before the cruise so I can update the webpage and put a link on there for a word document download. email me or PM me.

Twenty Two days till I leave!!!!! After this week I am for sure needing a disney vacation!!!!

No documents or magical express stuff here either. I am looking every day though!!!
