I'm having trouble convincing DW to attend the Pirate Party on board the cruise. I was going to send her some (hopfully) intriging info, and maybe some pictures of past parties, but I can't seem to track down any info on this.

Can anyone post any links to where such stuff is available.

I fear that if DW Lisa doesn't go, then DS Aaron will also decide its "stupid", and will bow out as well.

I hope every member of the Krewe is planning on dressing up for this. My costume is so cool I'll feel like a cast member if no one else is dressed out.

The pirate party is very cool! and remember there are fireworks at the end of it!! DCL is the only cruise line to have the firewords at sea! tell you wife that and maybe she'll chance her mind also there is a HUGE pirate decorated buffet with Turkey legs, crepes, desserts and more!

Not too much info. on the Pirate Party out there...I did find footage on Youtube.com with the fireworks, Pirate Mickey, etc. - Check it out

I agree, YouTube is great if you want to see the whole party (I don't- then what would be the point in going?) I've seen some great pictures in trip reports but I don't know if I could point you somewhere specific. I can't imagine not wanting to go! I just hope I can get the kids to take a nap that day so they don't crash too early!

Pirate party in a nutshell: Live dancing show on top deck like the sailaway party. Characters dancing. Loud music. Fireworks. Pirate buffet on deck after show is finished. Very crowded on deck. Not many places for kids to see action because adults are too tall.

A fun time. But IMHO, you won't be too disappointed if you missed it.

The Pirate Party is on Castaway Cay day and boy, that wears me out just being on the beach all day...I'll have to get a nap in between dinner & the party

Yeah, the party is crowded, loud, but I wouldn't miss it! I love seeing Pirate Mickey come gliding down the ropes & saving the day from Captain Hook

Have you missed me!!!!!!

Jadie is still in the hospital. They were going to put in a feeding tube today but the surgery would have been too much for her. And since it is elective at this time...she will swallow if she has too, they decided to wait.

She has been on oxygen off oxygen on oxygen....you get the picture.

I am VERY tired!!!!! I have stayed the last two nights and it is Brets turn tonight and tomorrow. If Jadie eats and keeps her sats up she will most likely come home on Friday. Here is to hoping!

We have decided to put in a feeding tube over Easter or Summer.

When I left the hospital tonight she was at 92% and starting to smile. So I think she is feeling better. I know she is doing better....it is just convincing the doctors of that. She is so abnormal with her sats, temp, bloodwork, etc...that I have a hard time convincing them.

The worst thing is that they have not fed her for 5 days!!!! I made them put the nose tube in today and feed her since they canceled surgery. I am not lying....not 10 minutes later she was more alert and awake than she had been then entire time. I just wish they would listen to parents just every other time.....you know.

I hate to say it but the cruise has been the furthest thing from my mind and yet the only thing keeping me from going crazy!!!

I will update stuff later...sorry guys. 22 days for us and according to my data Nassau temp is 73degrees!

Its good to here from you!!
I am glad things are at least a little better. Doctors--Can live with them, can't live without them!! Sometimes they just need to see that parents know the child best and always have their best interest in mind.

I pray that things will continue to improve for Jadie.

Good to hear from you Tara. I'm glad to hear things are improving. We'll still keep you all in our thoughts

On a different note, I was hoping to get an opinion from my fellow DISers... is it bad that even though we haven't sailed yet on this trip, I am already planning and researching my NEXT cruise DH is making fun of me here because I wanted to look ahead and get it all sorted out (I think it's very reasonable because if you book while you're on board you get a discount and large OBC) I'm just trying to be financially responsible and get the best deal (at least, that's my story and I'm sticking to it!) He's just laughing at me because I LIVE FOR MY DISNEY VACATIONS! I can't get too close to one without having another in the works- Then what would I possibly talk about!?!

I'm also driving him crazy because I keep telling him every time I finish a magnet or pick up something for the fish extenders! I found some really cool-and really perfect things and am so excited about it all and he just doesn't seem to get as excited I think I'm making him so crazy that he's considering leaving me on the boat!! I JUST CAN'T WAIT!!!!

Three weeks from today, I'll be in WDW for some pre-cruise fun! YEAH!
