FEB 3, 2008 ABROAD DISNEY WONDER--Who else??

Hi Everyone,

We just booked a spot on the Feb. 3rd Wonder a week ago! I'll be traveling with my DS(12), leaving DH, and our other 2 DS's behind. We'll miss them, but I offer the boys a trip alone with Mom every year or so and youngest chose the Disney cruise. No influence from Mom whatsoever.

My DS is 14, and don't know how "grown up" your DS12 is, but maybe they can hang out a little.

Too bad DH won't be along. The Guy Gang needs reenforcements.

My DW & DS go on solo DL trips once or twice a year. DH(me) goes bachelor mode for the week (unmade bed, socks on the floor, dishes piled in sink, up past midnight, etc)

I can get a a haircut, and a head massage, here in Iraq for $3 plus tip. If I'm going to pay an additional $85 to get "something else", I can not, in mixed company, speculate about what that "something else" would have to be.

That is totally something my DH would say!

Honestly, I think he is more upset that they put us in a room that is not only next to my parents, but has a connecting door to them! We knew that they'd probably be in a room near ours, but the connecting doors are kinda funny! I told him to look at is as a way for DDs to go over to Nana and Papa's bright and early so we can sleep in! That's what I'm talking about!!!

We also have connecting rooms with my parents. Heck with sending the kids over bright and early-I'm hoping the spend the night!!!



I have been away from the boards for a while. We have had a nasty flu bug going around our house. Better now than a month from now!

I'm glad I haven't offended anybody. I've kind of lost touch with what is socialy acceptable while I've been here. Hope I don't drop any F-Bombs around your kids

My kid is use to it! LOL I am just glad she doesn't repeat us on most days!

I hope you feel better too. It is far better to be sick now than in a month! We would hate to sail without you!

Before everyone gets too deep into planning we need to make a date and time for our Tink Exchange. I was thinking the day we were at sea. Maybe we could meet for lunch.

There are about half a dozen pictures posted on Tara's web site now (thanks TM!). I'm trying to get DW to send me one to post too. I've been able to match up most of the names and faces based on ages, etc. However, I'm curious about Stephanie's photo.

Is this you and your sister? Who is who? Is this from another Disney trip, or did you two "dress up" special just for the pic.

The picture is from our Christmas, 7day, Disney cruise last year...me and my daughter in Animator's restaurant and my hubby and son also dressed alike in the blue Tropical Mickey theme.

I don't have a picture of my sister w/me and she isn't into the planning and disboarding...she's pretty shy and probably gonna think I am crazy knowing all these "strangers" on the ship

So I guess there's no Margarita/Tequila tasting on the 4-day cruise? My wife and I really enjoyed that one. The Martini tasting wasn't as good. Dry martinis and dirty martinis are not for everyone.

I wish there was tequila tasting for sure!!! I plan on doing my own tasting with that though.

Great Job Tara! I think I have all my magnets made. It doesn't look like very many but I keep reminding myself that I have all of you to help me decorate. The ones for you have my refrigerator covered!

As for the "grad" ceremony! You have to try to get her to go!!!! It's so cute! They get up there and sing in their cute little hats, and they also put together a slide show of the kids and all their activities over the week. Very Disney!! Of course, I CRIED!!! I'm such a sap anyway, but given that it was the last day and that my baby was up their on the official Mickey stage....well, just know ahead of time that if you sit by me at the show, you may not be able to hear through my sniffles

You said she's shy, but do you think if she meets some of our DD6s that by the 4th day, she might be comfortable enough with them to stick together? Ya know, the girly hold hands and go together thing

I will be crying with you! I cry every time I see Wishes or the castle for the first time! I would hate to work at Disney and loose that magic.

She isn't all that shy as just not interested in it now. She might be once she has spent all week with you guys kids and they are up there too!
