We have a Cat 12 cabin. I too am hoping for an upgrade. How do you go about getting one?

I was just planning to show up at the terminal early and asking at check in. Is that too late? Im also waiting for DC to release Military Discounts. If / when they do, I get it retroactively!
For dinner, we have are scheduled for the Main seating.
I made our Palo Dinner ressies for 9:00 on night two(2). I chose this late seating for a few reasons. I read a few tips that said to go for the night we are docked at Nassau so the view is better. It was also suggested to make em late so we can eat a light snack with DS while he eats his dinner

. Also, by the time I got to the ressies, there werent many other choices left. Anyone got any opinions on this timing? How strongly should we consider a Palo Brunch too?
Hi and welcome back

!
I will give it a go and try to answer some of your questions. Your Palo ressies sound fine (but you will be there for 2 to 2 1/2 hours -takes a LONG time and I know my little one was not happy for us to be gone so late

) and I would strongly suggest the brunch as it is amazing!! you can try booking on aboard as soon as you get on the ship. We also have a GTY 12 and
DCL usually will provide those room numbers from 30 days or so before we cruise. I would keep an eye on those Military discounts as that would be a for sure upgrade (or money saver)
My sister and I will be flying in the day before cruise and staying at the lovely Hyatt in Orlando airport...we will be staying at WDW 3 days after cruise at the Beach Club. This will be my sis's first visit and I have lost count on my visits

but we got a "wonder"ful rate on the cruise (500.00 each) and airfare from San Diego 220.00 on Delta...don't forget to budget in the "tips" for the cruise and they add up.

Yes, it is an expensive vacation but so worth it. Your gonna love the cruise
DH: Sorry, mine is staying home with the kiddos this time

What a guy!! but he said he would have enjoyed a fishing trip at
Castaway Cay! I guess I just might have to look into booking another DCL onboard

don't feel too bad for him as he has been on the Magic and Wonder for a total of 5 cruises
Drinks: DCL charges for all alcoholic drinks, smoothies (also if ordering room service only milk, tea, some juices are "free"). Any drinks from the bar (including sodas) also cost money. There is a big "drink station" next to Mickey pool that has free drink dispensers, sodas, hot/cold tea, milk...sodas, milk, tea & juice also "free" in all the dining rooms.
I like the Secret Tink name change! That sounds like a great idea to me!!
It's gonna be a great cruise and looking forward to meeting the Krewe
