I think a magnet exchange of Disney characters or hometowns would be great! It is fun to come back to the door and see all the cute magnets

Oh, Tara, I forgot to give you my info too: hometown, San Diego, CA, Stephanie and sister, Denise celebrating our first "moms only vacation"; and we also have a 12 GTY (hoping for an upgrade but not sure we will get it since only two in room )

I also added on the magnet exchange to do whatever you want for one night or all nights, but you have to participate in at least one night. I also put a little disclaimer...that if you make/buy a magnet for each night that you MIGHT NOT get one from EVERYONE each night. So let me know if you want one night or four. To make it more appealing to all we can make magnets...it might be cheaper.

The Mickey Exchange could go either way kids/adults/family. We could have someone who is not partcipating assign a family/group to each of us. Then we could give small gifts on night 1,2,3 and clues to who we are and then we could all meet on night 4 to exchange a bigger gift and guess who our Secret Mickey is. That sounds fun!

Is the first meet at the Goofy pool okay? I know that Bret and I are doing Beer and Wine tasting events...so when we get our Navigators (or look online for one of someone who went the week before for times) we could make some mini meets too. What other events are fun? They have family Bingo! We could have a meet for that too!

What do you guys think? If you are not good at crafty things I can make you a picture to put on your shirts. We can even add family names etc....

We do have Palo reservations....but it was for dinner on the last night. Bret decided that if he didn't have to wear a coat than we could go to dinner. He is going to wear a dress shirt and tie but Disney said he could still go without a coat.

The Lunar New Year happens on the Tuesday of our cruise too.

Chinese New Year is on the 7th this year, which is the last day of our cruise. I teach this to my preschoolers each year and we have a great chinese parade down our hall.....but NOT THIS YEAR!!!!!! LOL

Ya know he doesn't even have to wear the tie...on the four day you can get away with a nice dress shirt. There were lots of men dressed in only a dress shirt and some even a regular short sleeve, button down shirt on our last 3 day Wonder cruise. It was kinda a anything goes except NO shorts

Palo is a great way to end the cruise as it is very romantic and the food is great

Hey everyone,
Okay, I have a million questions...

Are we doing daily exchange for kids or one time? Are we each going to be assigned someone? I probably would not do an adult exchange, but my kids would love it.

What about magnets. Do they have to be a certain size? I bought some 4 1/2 x 6 and am hoping to figure out how to print them.

2 1/2 more days of school then I will be able to devote my time to planning. I cannot believe we are getting to close. It seemed like our cruise would never get here for so long.

I think for the magnet exchange we kinda decided to either participate one day or all days (your choice) and we are just gonna leave them on peoples doors or fish extenders each day/night. We did not decide on homemade or bought...but I think we did kinda rule out city themed.

On Secret Mickey, so far it is just me and princessdaisy. She does not have any kids going with her this time. We had talked about getting someone not doing the exchange to assign us a person who is for the exchange. We never did decide on family gift or child gift.

I for one would love to get this settled so I can do my after Christmas shopping and my cruise shopping together!!! LOL

The webpage also has a meet planned and some other possibilities.

I have been gathering ideas for magnets whenever I get the chance, but unfortunately lately it hasn't been very often. If making them goes smoothly, I hope to be able to put one on everyone's door each night. I was thinking about possibly doing homemade the 1st 3 nights and then buying one for the 4th. I know I am not going to have time to attempt making any until after Christmas to know for sure how it works.

I am planning on doing magnets for everyone and hopefully for every night. I will have homemade and store bought. I guess if we don't have enough people for Secret Mickey that we will just do magnets? whatever you all decide is fine by me...I know I will have lots of extra time after the holidays to get stuff ready for our cruise.
