Feb 28, 2010 - 4 night Wonder Cruise

I finally got to print off the Navigators and spa services. I'm sure everyone's crazy busy with christmas right now As soon as christmas is over were all going to be going crazy over last minute cruise details.......I CAN'T WAIT MERRY CHRISTMAS FE GROUP!!!!

Hi Everyone, we planned a land/sea package and are looking forward to this being our first Disney Cruise. (Especially since February is a great time to escape Michigan for a while!) We are doing the land portion beforehand, staying at the Caribbean Beach Disney property. We booked the package thru AAA travel so we don't have a room number, just a category. Has anyone done this before and by chance know when our room will be assigned??? We'd like to participate in the FE group, it sounds like a lot of fun. Our two daughters are 10 and 7 1/2 yrs old. I'm sure they would like to snail mail or email exchange with friends they might see on board.

Hi all!

The Wonder will be my first Disney cruise. I've cruised Carnival once before (which was a bit miserable) and this'll be the first cruise for my husband and our 3-year-old son. I'll be about five months pregnant at the time of sailing, so if you see a sleeping, round blob near the pools that doesn't move, that'll be me.

The fish extender gifting sounds fun! I'd love to join in. My stateroom number is already assigned. Let me dig it up.

Would any of the kids who are participating in Fish Extenders be interested in becoming "snail mail" pen pals with our DD8? We did this with some of the Disney Magic FE kids and they all really liked "meeting" each other beforehand and getting some mail!

Too cute! We told DS (3) we'd be going on a plane and big boat, and he has no concept of time so occassionally if we start getting dressed to go somewhere he'll ask "Are we going on the boat?"

I think I'll start a little countdown for him...not that he'd recognize the number "60" or anything, but once we get down to 10 he'll be good to go!

We did a countdown for our trip last Sept at 30 days out and it was a big hit.

Ok now that Christmas is behind us and the new year is just around the corner - I need some distractions to help pass the next 2 months. So come everyone - come out of hiding and post - let's help each other pass the time. What's everyone doing to prepare for their cruise.

I printed out my packing list today - I'm going to start getting things together this weekend. My DD's are trying to decide what to wear for dinners - I have a feeling we'll be shopping soon - hope the put the spring clothing out soon!

Personally - I joined Weight Watchers last night and am hoping to lose about 10-15 pounds before our cruise. Does anyone else do WW or have experience with it. I would like to do the 5k run on Castaway Cay - that's my goal.

My preparation right now is pretty limited! I thought about shopping for fish extender supplies yesterday when I was at A.C. Moore, but being the mistress of procrastination figured 2 months was a bit off.

I'm trying to convince DH to drive down to Orlando rather than fly. We're about 9 hours away, and we'd come out way ahead just paying for gas and swapping time behind the wheel. I think I'm close to getting my way, though. DH suggested we use the savings on a park visit when we disembark so we wouldn't have to drive back up immediately after the cruise.

Other than that, the only other thing on my to-do list is to order a new toiletry case for our luggage. LL Bean makes a jumbo one we could get full-sized bottles in.
