Feb 27, 2015 Disney Dream

Just booked our first Disney Cruise for Feb 27th. Want to get involved in a Fish Extender. @TSCCHaire what do you need to do to start a FE? I would help if I can.

Our first Disney cruise!!! Super excited!

Is there a fish extended list started, yet? I'm willing to start I, but feel a little inexperienced!

You might want to post a link to this thread in the Dream 2015 thread at the top of the board so that Irish Cowboy can add your thread to the list maintained there.

Cruise Meet threads are doing just fine still managing meet and FE discussions right here on the DIS where FE began years ago.

FE organizers generally need to know how many people (adults/children) are participating in each cabin. Other information you would like to share such as first names, ages of child participants, allergies, favorite characters, etc. is up to you. Other personal information is not really necessary. Those organizing FEs typically ask for the information to be posted in the meet thread or sent to them via PM.

For those posting in this Cruise Meet thread to join a FE, since no one seems to be coming forward to organize a FE for this cruise here on the DIS, please feel free to start the FE right in this thread.

There is certainly enough time to plan a FE for this cruise. All it takes is for someone to maintain a list of/for those participating which can easily be done in this thread. Cruise Meet threads have been doing it this way for years now here on the DIS.

Hi, we just booked our first Disney cruise. Would love to do the fish extenders. I'm willing to help organize, but have never done it before. Any advice would be great.

From what I have read online, someone would just need to keep track of the people who would want to participate. We would need to provide cabin number, deck, who is in the cabin, and ages of the children. I don't mind collecting the info. I also saw online where there are deadlines to join the group so enough time is available to make or buy the fish extender gifts.

Did anyone still want to do the fish extenders for the Dream feb 27th cruise?

First time Disney cruiser with my spouse and two other families. How does this all work? Seems like a great idea!

I have never done it but from what I have read online someone would coordinate the information of everyone who was participating. From there the information is distributed and fish extender gifts are exchanged on the cruise via the fish extender holder outside of the cabins. I can coordinate the info if anyone is interested

This is something the admin had sent me:

Thanks for taking the lead on a FE for your cruise. It looks like you have done this before and likely don't need any suggestions ... but here is an example how the 5/25 - 5/31 DVC Alaska Cruise is managing their FE - http://www.disboards.com/showpost.php?p=51702493&postcount=5 - Johnny Quest just has a link to the FE information in his DIS Signature and that post then has the updated FE information.

This way everything is transparent and easily found and confirmed (or corrected) by those participating. A number of cruises are already doing this or something similar.

For those who are new with only a few posts, they will not be able to use the PM system until they reach 10 posts. You might suggest to them that they go to the DIS Technical Support/Test board where they can quickly and easily post some one word (or one letter) posts to get their count up to 10.

I hope this helps!

As you may be aware, we are not allowing links (or other suggestions) to FEs on other sites and would like to encourage them to be done right here on the DIS where they began years ago.

If there is anything I can do to help, please let me know.
