Feb. 26, 2012 Mexican Riviera

Wow, it is hard to believe our trip is here. We leave tomorrow morning for California! Our bags are almost packed, the pets are taken care of. All we need is our flight. We leave for Denver in the morning with our connecting flight to SNA arriving there around 1 PM. We aren't doing any parks tomorrow but will check out DTD and the Disney hotels.

I hope everyone has safe travels from your homes to the ship. We hope to meet some of you onboard!

:cool1:

Just some last minute questions. What can I expect at port? Do we just follow signs to park, pay parking, then its like airport? Also, how is seating at dinner assigned?

Can't believe its here. Were leaving Sunday morning, were close. I haven't packed and have so much to shop. Also, my toddler broker or camera last weekend.

Have a blast at Disney for everyone going!!!

For those that have been on this cruise before, is there a difference between ship time and local time in PV? We're looking at various options for plans that day, but I'm worried that the schedule may need adjusted if the ship time is different....

3 Days!!!!!

Hi Juareaa!
When you get off the freeway you will go straight into the parking lot. Make a right and you will see self parking. Really easy!!!
Seating for dinner is assigned by the size of your group. I have a family of four and we have always been seated at our own table. This time, my DH and I are going without the kids:banana: so we will most likely be sitting with another couple. Have a safe trip to the Ship!!!!

:woohoo: yes, we are meeting at 3pm in the Promenade Lounge. I believe that is the name of it, this is our first cruise. If this is incorrect, someone please correct me!!
:thumbsup2

Dinner seating is either main (early) or late seating. When you made your reservation you picked which of htose you wanted. They generally try to seat you with a similar family, same age kids, for example. But you may end up at a table that is just you and your family.

When we went last year, this same week, the time was different, I believe. But they leave you notes in your room to remind you and I think the navigator will remind you if time is different.

We fly down tomorrow

I can't wait!

We flew out Sunday March 4th about 5pm from LAX on our way back to Detroit. We took off over the ocean before turning 180 degrees heading back east. The plane turned left towards Long beach and what did we fly over on our way home? We flew directly over the Disney Wonder pulling out of the harbor going out to sea for another cruise. Nice ending to the best vacation ever!

Great to meet so many of you on our cruise! Hope you all got home safely! What a great trip, am I right? Every part of it was amazing. Hope someone does a trip report! I'd love to read it! :) Let us know if anyone does!

we had such a great trip we booked a dummy cruise onboard... I am curious who else did this?

This was the BEST vacation ever! We had such a fantastic time that I almost cried when we got off yesterday.

I loved meeting many of you and it really was fun running into you around the boat.

We booked a dummy date while on board and also the first Med for next year. We've been going back and forth about doing the PC or the TA and I think we're going to do the TA and the first Med.

I was worried that the second cruise wouldn't live up to the first one we took last year, but I needn't have worried, this one surpassed the first. It truly was spectacular.

One of the (many) highlights was our trip to Las Caletas in PV. The ride out was rough for many, but we did fine and the crew was great. While at the resort we did it all (no relaxing for us). The girls did the donkey ride, monkey thing and zip line and then we did kayaking and my husband took them out to snorkel. Snorkeling was hard, the surf was up, but it was all still fun. And the ride home the crew did a performance as The Backstreet Boys that had me in tears.

Our servers were Zaldy from the Philippines and Abby from England. They were nice, not fabulous, but very good. Our hostess was Anita and she was great.

We had a noise problem in our room and they worked to fix it and coudln't have been better in trying to deal with it.

Yesterday, while sitting on deck 10 waiting to debark, my husband looked at me and said, "Maybe we've found our 'thing'." He's right. I need to work out a way to do this every year.

Our children had the greatest time. I felt as if I really got to reconnect with my husband and the family time was perfect.

It was so great having the Dis group. I loved running into many of you over and over again. We had such a great time and we booked a dummy cruise. Now we just need to figure out where to go! So sad the Wonder won't be doing the MR anymore. We loved it.

Marcy, I am going to try to do a trip report. Never done one though. I do have a few pics of your kids!

I don't know about you all, but yesterday and today has been pretty rough trying to get back to reality. I have been feeling the motion still and just feel sort of "out of it". Hoping to snap out of it soon, today at work was brutal!

Thanks to everyone for making our first cruise so much fun!!

We just got home late last night. After the cruise we spent two days in DL at the Grand California Resort. The hotel was awesome and we loved DL.
Our cruise was fantastic!!! The excursions were great, Las Calitas in PV and the kids dolphin swim in Cabo. Our servers were good, and our head server did an awesome job with my daughter and her food allergies.

I had a great time meeting some you all, and hope I have made some lifelong friends. We loved doing the FE. Thanks to everyone for their gifts!

We booked while onboard as well. I couldnt convince my DH to do the TA again, so instead we booked the Fantasy for Sept of 2013.

Dena, I loved meeting you and your wonderful family! Chatting with you and Ashley by the pool was really nice.

I hope you can switch to the TA, but I understand if you don't :thumbsup2. It'd be fun to see you all again, though.

Enjoy the Fantasy!

I'm a little late on my trip update but I haven't stopped thinking about it! We simply had an amazing time. It was just as good as the first one we did last year. We also have another trip booked on the Fantasy for 2013...wish it were next month!

We really enjoyed our servers Omar and Glenford. They certainly kept us entertained. We had a group of ten so we kept the servers running.

I've been watching the Wonder come and go from Cabo on the live web cams. http://www.cabovillas.com/campage.asp?id=8 It makes me sad! I actually feel jealous of the people on this ship...sleeping in OUR room!! Jeesh!

Anyway, I hope everyone enjoyed it as much as we did. The entertainment was pretty good. I loved the ventriloquist....he was very entertaining when he was picking on my husband. And of course the stage shows were fantastic. I was tempted to skip dinner so I could see them again.

Till we meet again!
