Hi there - new poster, here! My DD6 and I are coming on our second Disney Cruise and I just stumbled on this forum thread by accident. We would love to connect with other families, especially little girls without siblings who would like a buddy during the trip. I'm also curious about the fish project - any experts out there who can give me a quick update?

WELCOME!!! We had started a Private Fish Extender FB Group for us to all talk back & forth. Unfortunately our FE group is closed and no longer taking new people, because we all have 15 days left before setting sail. I am sure nobody would mind if you joined in to chat in the group.

We will be meeting up on the ship right before the Mandatory Safety Drill. Location and exact time TBA.
My daughter is 8 ...and shy (at first) , so, would love for her to find a friend. scroll up through this feed to see how to be added to the group. Any problems, let me know

Last time we made friends with the people at our table who were from Texas and great, but would love to broaden the circle!

For some reason the link I posted didn't work for everyone. You need to friend one of us and then we can add your name to the list.....You can only add people who are on your friend list!

Our daughter is 4, but loves hanging out with older kids. We are leaving her baby brother behind as he is our 14 months-old foster son-soon-to-be-adopted son.

My friend Melissa (not on DisBoards, but a local gal I know) is coming with her 6 y.o. son.


I cannot wait! Just over a week to go and I won't be finalizing my FE gifts till we hit Orlando.

For everything...FE, meet up on first day, first timers asking questions, etc! I can add you if you want but you have to friend me. It's a closed group so it only allows me to add people on my friend list. Lori Beth Yeager Roberts

Thanks for excluding those of us that didn't want to join the Facebook group the whole point of the DisMEETS board is to get people chatting here, on these boards. My kids would have been thrilled to know a few kids from the first day meet and onward, but you've made sure we wouldn't have any knowledge of plans whatsoever.
It's no different than sending out a birthday invite but making people call a private # for date and time. Too much hassle!

Sorry that you feel that way. It was not moved to Facebook to exclude anyone. It was moved there so we could post a document with our information for the FE. Everyone added their own info into the document & then we could print it ourselves. Everyone in the Facebook group is participating in the FE with the exception one person who recently joined knowing that the FE was closed but wanted their kids to meet others. Of course we talked about other things cruise related on the Facebook page but the intent of it is for those who wanted to sign up for FE! It's never been a secret that we are on Facebook. If you read previous posts you'll see reference to that. It's only a closed group for people's privacy. Some people don't like others to know when they are going away. If the group privacy level wasn't set as closed anyone could search the cruise & see that you are to going to not be home during certain dates. Facebook has a lot of private information readily displayed that the DISboard does not. I didn't set it up that you have to friend me first to join...thats how Facebook sets it up. We are meeting @ 3:00 in the Promenade Lounge for anyone who wants to come and meet up. All are welcome to join us!

Sorry that anyone feels they are left out.
There was and still is very little activity on this Disboard meet for our trip. Very few people joined this DisBoard Meet group as compared to other sailings.
The private Facebook accout was keep privacy on last /first names, ages, childrens info, dates, room #'s, our "plans for travel"..etc... If you read back, there are directions to get added to the FB Group. You will also see that the group is still welcoming fellow cruisers to be added to chat it up and meet and talk about our upcoming tip. And you are most certainly invited to meet us all onboard.
Hope you arent offended and Please JOIN the FB group! The more the merrier! We talk about anything! It was said all along. We all have kids that would like to meet new friends as well as the adults! We all want this to be the Best trip ever!

The FE has already been closed as we all set a date to close the group , so people could have enough time to prepare their FE's.

However, There is a Private FB group discussing the cruise...

This DisBoard unfortunately has been uneventful.
