I think I may be a little confused. Was last years discount 10% off room or 40% off room? Or is the % off based on the hotel you stay at?

I'm not sure about all resorts, but I can tell you we've booked ASMovies the past 2 or 3 years, with the code, and I've never had more than 10% off the room rate with the codes.

Perhaps it's different for other resort levels, though...

I booked with a special AAA rate. When/if the discount codes come out, will that be in addition to my AAA discount, or will I have to choose one discount to apply to my rate?

Did you guys notice that there is a new room only code for some dates in November and December. This has to be booked by 12/7. http://www.mousesavers.com/disneyresorts.html#roomonlycodes Could this mean that our January/February codes won't be out until after that date??????

I hope not.. that would really push it for January people. I am waiting for the codes to finalize my package. Got a few things to move around and just assume get a big credit in return lol.

When the codes come out, do they get used up very quickly? DH still isn't sure we can afford to go so I may need to give him some numbers before we can actually book. I have been saving every little penny- literally!- that I can get my hands on, but unless it is a good discount I don't think we will be able to go.

Some codes get gobbled up very quickly - especially if you are hoping for a specific hotel or room type. However, other codes seem to linger for months! If a good code comes out I would pounce on it a.s.a.p. just to be sure, especially if your trip depends on it. That being said, I don't ever count on a discount because they are so tenuous (although with the economy they seem to be much more common these days).

GoofyFairie: Perhaps you could price out your trip with the current promo staying on same nights of the week, same resort, etc. Then compare it to paying full price for the same dates within the current promo period. If the current discount is similar to what will be offered for February then you can get a general feel of what the price May be.

One variable is depending on the travel dates of your actual trip you may get into a different price category versus this test. Here's the pricing categories/dates for 2009. http://www.mousesavers.com/roomrates2009.html

When I did this test, I tested several resorts and several resort levels (deluxe and deluxe villas). What I discovered is the current promo seems to be a flat amount off based on resort level. It is -$310 for deluxe resorts and -$410 for deluxe villas (1bdrm). I'm hoping for at least the same discount for my trip!

I think they just get posted to the WDW reservation site under special offers (although there is a "special offers" link appearing on the main WDW park page now). You can also check mousesavers everyday; they update often.

We actually have a trip planned Jan.31-Feb.4 to stay for the 1st time @ Animal Kingdom Lodge, so we won't be using this discount. We are hoping for one that we can apply to our existing reservation @ A.K.L. To jklee712 the offer was from Disney Destinations.

Did you call and they told you this code won't work for AKL or other deluxes?
I thought most codes had at least some availability at other resort levels.
