(Hollypoast)
(mguptill)
(Beaker1967)

What are your room numbers!? I promise I won't ding dong ditch!! :rotfl:Want to get rid of the gray, and add some colors to your names on the Dismeet!
Also, who's on 2nd dining??

:grouphug:

We are in Cabin 6500 and second seating as well....2 more working days and then we are on vacation.....woo hooooo:banana::banana:

Hi Karen (and everyone else from Northern New England),
Hubby and #2 are leaving Thurs. at 1:25 direct on SWA :lovestruc from MHT. If anyone on this cruise is taking this flight, my child is the very loud one and my hubby is the one who looks a bit like Jason Alexander. :wave2: :littleangel: Child #1 & I are leaving the next day, same flight (hence the mistake). We, of course, are non-discript and very quiet
So, if any robbers are montetering this site...:lmao: Unfortunatly, we're flying back on Delta :sad1:
Going to FB and see who has a blazer for my kiddies. One that we can borrow and ruin in some way that only a child can manage :rolleyes1
-Hillary, who can't believe it's going to snow this week

Hillary-
I have another blue blazer, but its a size 8- also have 3 ties now...can your oldest squeeze into an 8? Good luck on FB, worked GREAT for us!! And Thank goodness for snow tomorrow! We have vacation and they are driving us NUTS!!!:sad2: Madeline is still sleeping and the other two are now banned from Wii... we are only supposed to get 6 inches though..
So, who started packing?!

We are sooo looking foward to the cruise and meeting Dis friends :goodvibes . Praying for warm weather and good health, too. The crud is going around at church and several of my older children keep nurseries regularly.....so washing hands galore :thumbsup2. Our party of 10 includes Adam and Amber DS26 and DDIL 22, Jessi DD23 turning 24 on the cruise Saturday, Jared and Kasey DS21 and DDIL 21, Anna DD18, Jacob DS16, Andrew DS8, and Hubby and me.....Sharon and Randy 49. This cruise was a present from our DD23 for our 30th wedding anniversary last June. Man.....we are so tired of cold, wet, nasty weather. And I am sure you kind people up north are even more so. Let's have a ball :yay: . Oh....we tye dyed tees over the weekend...we will be wearing them on Saturday :).

Now that's a disney crew!! Welcome to the DisMeet! Shall we add you to the crew? What floor are y'all (not bad for a Mainah!) staying on? How's the weather been down there in the land of the Crimson Tide? We're supposed to get 6" tomorrow..whoop-dee-do- Looking forward to getting wicked warm!!

Getting SOOOOO excited!:cool1:

What are you guys doing on the boat between boarding and when the rooms are ready? Last time, I got on late so I went straight to my room. Plan to board a bit early this time. I'm thinking that it will be too cold to swim...is there anything else good to do?

We usually grab something to eat and the kids swim in the pools. Even if chilly pools are heated to 80 degrees. It is probably the only time pools will be empty. Sometimes we also walk around to all the different lounges and visit kid's club and Ocean Quest. You would be suprised how fast the time goes by.

So, I have to finish packing a whole day early. :upsidedow Which is why I'm writing...What is everyone wearing for Formal night? Tux/Suits for the men or kakis and a blazer? What about the kiddies? Can they come in kakis and a button down? Do any of the men in my life need ties? :confused3

Thanks for your help!
-Hillary, who is sure to ask a million more questions before the week is through ;)

Jim and I are two who love dressing up. He rented a tux with two vest/tie combinations, so we'll dress up for formal and semi-formal nights. I can't remember which night we booked Palo, and I'm too lazy to look it up right now, but we'll dress up then, too. I have a black formal jacket with jet beads (not really fancy, but very elegant), black pants and a black cami for formal night. Same pants and a red sparkly jacket and shell set for semi-formal night, and possibly one other fancy jacket/shirt combo for Palo.

I've got packing well under way now since I'm at the tail end of my six-day weekend. I do have to work Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and then I'm done. Jim and I still haven't figured out how we're getting to the airport. We can walk to the train station from here, even with our luggage it's less than a five minute walk, or we can have DS drop us off at the train station downtown, then we won't have to switch trains. Or, we could splurge and have our cab driver friend just drive us to the airport. We also thought about starting our vacation one night early and getting a room near the airport, but I think I want to spend that last night with the grandkids. I'll miss them while we're away!

Now I think I'll finish the last of my "snow day" projects. I've rearranged my bedroom, cleaned everything in sight and just have the last of the laundry to fold and put away. Then I'm considering a long, hot bath since the younger generations are all out for the day, so there'll be no interruptions. We have only one bathroom for all of us!

Okay Ladies and Gents! So, since Hillary said her hubby looks like George from Seinfield, who do you think your spouse looks like??
My hubby, David, looks like a cross between Alec Baldwin (back in the 90's) and Mr. Big... oh, la, la!...okay, okay, we've been together for 18 years...hallucinations are totally acceptable!

Oh, if we're fantasizing...hubby looks like Rob Morrow and I look an awful lot like Brooke Shields:rotfl2:

Hi shinez. We are in rooms 6612 6614 6613 and 6611. Some of us will try and swing by the meeting. I was really wanting to do the FE. But then life happened and I could not fit it in. I am excited for y'all to have such a good response, And WHEN we ever go again....I am so planning ahead...I will work on FE a year ahead if need be :goodvibes .
It has been snowing here all day. Not a hard snow, but a light dusting over the near 2 inches that fell last night. My girls were happy because classes got cancelled at the community college they attend (both going for the RN). My DH said the roads were bad on his way in to work this morning, so I am glad they cancelled classes. On a much sadder note, my DS21, has no classes at UAH this whole week becasue of the shooting here last Friday. So senseless and so very sad.
Looking foward to the cruise, warmth, and meeting some DIS friends :) .

My secretary says that Jim looks like James Spader (in his Boston Legal days, not his younger days):confused3. If he really DID look like that, it wouldn't be bad!

My FE "stuff" is taking up way too much space in my luggage. I would like to pack more clothes, but there is no room. :confused3:rotfl2:

Updated on 2/16!

Just got off the phone with Disney...updated our information. KC is predicted to get snow late Friday night, so I called Southwest, and we are coming in Friday night now. No charge for the change unlike other airlines! In fact, the flight is cheaper and we have a $100 credit towards future flights.

We'll be getting in late, around 9pm, but this gets us in the hotel at the airport and leaving whenever we want for port.

Anyone else staying at Hyatt Orlando International Friday night?

Also, got to talk to rep about last weekend's ordeal. All is fine now and back on schedule. He knew nothing about the reported prop damage. From reading all the posts (during the Daytona 500 and it's track repair) Disney took wonderful care of everyone.

Now 3 days for us...it was 1 degree windchill yesterday morning 80's will feel like a dream.

Jim and I will be staying at the airport Hyatt Friday night, too. Our flight from Newark, NJ should land around 2:45 PM. We plan on checking into the hotel and then doing some shopping at the airport, have a nice dinner, and then get a good night's sleep so we're ready for Saturday morning! We're taking Disney transportation from the airport to the ship, so we have no further transportation worries once we manage to get ourselves out of New Jersey. It's been snowing again all day, but it isn't sticking to anything except the snow that's already on the ground.

I'm tired of snow; I'm tired of having to bundle up in my heavy coat; I'm tired of boots and cold, wet feet. I want to go outside in a tee shirt and jeans and not freeze!

Beth

Wow! The group is growing every day! I just finished printing the name tags, so that's all set. I'm starting to get serious about thinking about packing...

We've got about 3" of snow so far and another 3-6" coming. I am so ready!!!

:beach:
