What is the latest anyone should wait to try and get a 2 BR at what is going to be my home resort (VWL) as soon as closing takes place. My on or about date for closing is march 22. I have heard it could take a week or more for disney to get me in their system once i close and am concerned about getting the 2 BR next year. (Not to mention a quick trip in the end of april this year that i am also worried about not being able to get a room. i only need a studio for this trip at any resort!)

sounds like you bought from a reseller? You must wait till you close and are in the system...then call right away!! Good Luck!!

I think that if you call before the 7 month window opens up you should be fine. Perhaps chosing the lock-off instead of dedicated - the CM could advise you on the availabity. Waitlisting each day seperately if needed.

Our experience for this past Feb's trip....
We own at BCV and switched half of our Pres. Week reservaton to VWL at 7 months. We wanted to reserve the thurs, Fri., Sat., Sun and Mon. I called day-by-day at 9ish for a 2 bedroom. I was able to get (they had rooms still available) Thu - Sun nights and had to waitlist for Mon. In hindsight I think I could have gotten all 5 nights if I had chosen a lock-off instead of the dedicated 2 bedroom. The waitlist took a while to come through. I was thinking it would just be a week or two but I got the call at about 2 months before our trip. (At that point I declined the day because I had heard the pool at WL was to be closed)
