Did anyone watch this last night?

I loved it.. can't wait for next weeks episode :thumbsup2

I'd say he's had plenty of biscuits over the years. I guess that's why he's so happy!

Those biscuits did look good!

I missed the first half, but those Onion rings at the drive in are calling me!

Love Alton, and DH and I were enjoying the spontanity of this show.

You do know what happens in episode 4, right? Ouch!

Loved it! So much fun to watch; especially the pig foot incident. :rotfl: (I always wondered about those things!) I think he is really getting the flavor (pun intended) of the south and I can't wait 'til he moves into areas less familiar to me. And no, I don't know about episode 4; please don't tell me yet! ;)

I love Alton. I couldn't believe the hotdogs grilled in butter! :scared1: I hope he brought along a big bottle of Zocor. :rotfl:

DH asked me why we don't have restaurants around here that served fried breaded pork tenderloin on biscuits. Thank goodness we don't. We'd both be sporting the lawnmower man look.

Yes, I thought it was great. I also watched a few episodes of his marathon Good Eats too yesterday. Those are my favorite. I will watch his next Episode of Eating on asphalt. :thumbsup2

I enjoyed it too. I love Alton Brown, he's always so informative. My mom LOVES pickled pigs feet  I remember as a kid always seeing a jar of these things in the kitchen. She swears they're delicious. I'll just take her word for it :crazy2:

What I think is most interesting about the series is how clear it is that it isn't scripted or rehearsed, or even substantially planned out in advance. They really seem to be just going with the flow. I'm pretty doubtful, at this point, that they'll actually make it to LA, given that they've pretty much completely backtracked their way back to the Eastern seaboard! :lmao:

I TiVo'd it last night and watched it this morning. Man that Soul Food looked so good..I was drooling.

I can't wait to see where he ends up next and what's up with the last episode that everybody keeps hinting about? Somebody send me a PM..I'm dying to know!

I love AB and this special is great. It's clear that he loves what he does and loves this trip. He must be a great guy to hang out with.

I thought it was a lot of fun :) Seems to me that this is just an excuse to let AB have fun for a month. most of the food on that show looked really good...especially the soul food. Yum! I'm a little worried though since it looks like he is at least going to the KFC museum on the next episode...

I'm feasting on asphalt too. :teeth: The pig foot things was funny...he was really strugglimg with each bite! lol Great show, got my DVR set up for the next 3. :thumbsup2

We also love AB. If you watched the marathon, did you see the show that showed behind the scenes of Good Eats. It was really good. I love to watch shows that tell about things that go on behind the scenes and how the shows are made.

I missed the marathon, I have only seen little of Good Eats...all my friends tell me I'd love his show. I'll have to start tuning in!

I had a great time watching this. I don't see how he makes it to LA... (See Episode four LOL!)

I hope they do this again next year. Just have him start someplace else, at the rate he bikes it could take him years to do this.

And the Pickeled Pigs Feet have a unique place on the DIS........(If you have been around the DVC boards for years you know what I mean!)
