FEA FP start time changes?

I just saw a FEA FP on 12/2 for 9:15 am. It was my understanding that FEA Fastpasses weren't distributed until 11 am. Is this a glitch in MDE, a new permanent thing, or something done around the holidays?

The ride has been opening at park opening since it premiered. FP are bookable all day along as well

Your first sentence has always been true, yes, but your second sentence has not always been true and that's what the OP is wondering about. Is this a permanent change? OP is correct that up until recently, apparently, FPs only began at 11:00 AM

Yes, this. I honestly haven't been to WDW since FEA opened, but I had heard that FP didn't begin until 11. I knew the attraction was open at park opening (I'm planning to RD). I just wondered when early FP began being distributed, if it will continue, and if the low-ish wait times on park opening will hold?

Future World opens at 9:00am, but World Showcase technically doesn't open until 11:00am, so it is likely a glitch to allow them early.
