So here we are!
This is it!
We're all in!
party:

Here are some stats for the group that might help you.

Total number of participants : 72

Total number of staterooms : 23
number of groups/families : 15
(this means less delivery points as some groups have 3 or 4 staterooms all near each other. Does that make sense?)

Women (18+) : 22
Men (18+) : 20
Girls : 18
Boys : 12

The graph on page 6 has been updated for spread of children's ages.

As far as a list you can use the one on the first page. I wanted a printed list, so I cut and pasted from the first page into word and it turned out great. If anyone has problems with this let me know.

I have made deck plans with everyone's rooms marked, which should make delivery easier. I still have a couple of names and stateroom numbers missing or not assigned yet, so will send a link to the deck plans once completed.
I will also bring an extra couple of copies on board incase anyone forgets their one! :goodvibes

If anyone else need more info. let me know.

Let the games begin!

:yay:

This is our first Disney cruise and we are learning along and along of all that takes place on the boat. I see that your FE group is closed. Does this mean we an not take place in the FE fun? Or just not with your group? It sounds like so much fun! I just did not know you had to sign up ahead of time! :)

Hi There,
Yes, sorry, the group is now closed. The closing dates have to be firm, as after that date people start making or buying things. I promised, as administrator of the list, that I would stick firmly to the dates :)

Sorry you missed it this time.

Yes, we are very sorry to hear that but I do understand. Although, I do have two very disappointed kids. Is it going to confuse your group if we hang a FE on our door and put our own treats in it for our kids? I don't want to mess anyone up. We are 2 months out from the cruise...seems plenty of planning time, and they were very excited about this.

Firstly I'll just clarify the process to help explain the timeline.:flower3:

Some people have a week or more at disney before the cruise.
Then some people send their FE gifts to the ship ahead of time. From where I live I'd need to allow 3 weeks or so to ensure it got there. Canada post is appalling!
That's why the cut-off dates are a couple of months before.

Not everyone makes things but many do. I've been working on things since the summer.
In fact it's probably more annoying for those who buy. I know some people in our group have already bought things. Once the date has past if new people join they have to try and get more of what they have or find something new. It has caused issues before and I was asked by the group to be firm with the cut off date.

That being said, if you hang a FE that you're going to use yourself, you may find extra things left there ;)

You can certainly hang a FE for yourselves. This group will only visit the rooms on our list. But there will be other groups, from other forums that are also doing the same thing.

I really am sorry.
Hang one, make or buy little things that you can hide there every day for your kids, and you might just get some pixie dust too pixiedust:
(leave your room number here)

Anita,

Thank you so much for sharing your organizational skills. :worship: The list looks great! I just wanted to double check and make sure that we are delivering to all on the list and not every other one. (For some reason I thought I read that somewhere, but with all the posts I can't find it.) I just have a few more things to pick up. Also the magnet looks great and I'm going to print just as is for our two doors. I think I may just add our disname first.

My boys just recently posted on the kids board. They had fun reading the posts of all the other kids. Thank you for setting that up. I'm sure my kids will really be into it now that we are getting so close.

Yep, delivering to all! :goodvibes

Adding our disname to the magnet is a great idea! I'll do the same :thumbsup2

Credit must go to breakingd_awn for setting up the kids thread.
I saw your kids there...it's been a crazy week with school sports teams starting up, but I'll get my kids to post there this weekend. :)

"As far as guidelines I think simple is good - the standard is:

Each cabin taking part should deliver something to every other cabin on the list.
Whether you deliver 1 gift per cabin or per person is your choice."

That is a quote from the first post on this forum.

That was incase we split the group only right?

Because we didn't we are to deliver to each cabin? That was how I understood it.

Yes, as we didn't have enough to split the group, everyone listed on the first page is just all one big jolly group! :grouphug:

The other part is also true. In trying to keep it simple, the only "rule' per se is that each cabin taking part should deliver something to either every cabin on the list or every person on the list. This is your choice.

Some people may decide to give 1 gift per room.
Others may decide to give something to everyone individually.
Some may give the same thing to everyone.
Others might give different things to adults, kids, males, females, or split by ages.

What you deliver is totally your choice, as long as each cabin delivers something to at least every cabin.

Does that make sense? :upsidedow
It's been a long week!

Ok. Now I am more confused... Looking at the list, in deliver my fe to every Cabin on the list right? I am doing individual gifts, so I deliver 70'plus. (can't remember exact amt) gifts right? I don't get the every other cabin thing. Sorry for being so dense on this... Just when I Think I got it.....:confused3

OK Everyone.
Time to clear something up!

I couldn't understand where this every other cabin had come from? :confused3
It's all in the way you say it!

Each cabin must deliver at least to every other cabin, as in every cabin that is not their own!
Other, as in not theirs!

Maybe that's a totally British thing to say and I truly apologize for the confusion.

Does that make sense now?

If you are giving individual gifts then you have 72 to deliver.

:flower3:

I will go and take the word other out of the original post and anywhere else I can find that I've used it! :)

I was starting to make tags for the gifts and was wondering if we are supposed to keep our gifts secret??? I wasn't going to bother making tags if most of us are keeping our deliveries secret!

I have little tags for each gift with recipients name but not signed from us.

We have another little thing just from our girls to the other kids and they will probably sign them.

Just what I was planning. :goodvibes

I think the delivery is s'posed to be done covertly, but i'm not sure what the protocol is about keeping who it's from a secret.

Those who've done it before....your thoughts?

So was starting to get things together this afternoon and my youngest was enjoying writing the tags :goodvibes ...
...and we now have our Disname on the back
Hope that's OK!

:yay: got it:thumbsup2 Thanks for your sweetness, you are doing an amazing job and I cannot wait to meet you and give you :worship: for all your hard work on the fe organization.

I started putting the kids gifts together and I labeled the tags with the kids name and our disname so no turning back now:)!!! Now that I am working on the FE gifts I am getting super excited to be on vacation. Our 2 year old twins keep saying, "Mickey boat yet". I think I am going to hear this for the next 6 weeks until we leave for DW.

Sorry it took me so long, crazy beginning of year! Our FE group is in rooms 7654 and 7652. 7654 will be Randy, Christina and Bryanna(age 5). 7652 is Chris and Jeff(celebrating there anniversary!). We are getting super close now!!!!

Hi Everyone!
It's getting close! :yay:
We actually leave 6 weeks today! :dance3:

So, it looks like someone's had some pixie dust! :tinker:

Congratulations to TheTowlers on their upgrade! :yay:

This means you need to change their room numbers on your lists. The numbers have been change on our list on the first page.

Also congrats to valdez for their room assignment! That's also listed on the first page.

There may be more changes yet and maybe some even at the port. Keep an eye on your ressies.
In my 'notes before we sail' I will remind you of this, but suggest that if anyone has any last minute changes they leave that information on my stateroom door.

Bye for now!

..and while I was writing RN_mom has posted her room numbers!

You must have all known Alice and I were finishing off packing the gifts today!;)
