Here we are fellow FE participants!
This is the official sign up for March 4th-9th 2012 Dream Double Dip!:yay:

THIS GROUP IS NOW CLOSED. THIS GROUP IS NOW CLOSED. THIS GROUP IS NOW CLOSED. THIS GROUP IS NOW CLOSED.

If you'd like to take part then post the following information and i’ll compile the list in post#2. We’ll start with…

Dis Name
First names of those in each stateroom plus children’s age at time of travel (and genders if not obvious ;) )
Stateroom number(s)

If anyone is not happy to share their children’s names then I’m sure just age and gender will work out fine.

Nearer the time, once the cut-off has passed, I will make a spreadsheet of all the info., organized by deck for convenience, and request you PM me with your e-mail so I can send it to you. At that time I’ll also include what to bring reminders as well as latest drop-off time suggestions.
Make sure you subscribe to this thread so you get all the messages :)

Our cut-off date will be January 8th, 2012.
January 1st - I will issue groups if we are a large enough number to split.
January 8th - Final cut off date for anyone to join. I will then issue the final group lists with any new people who've joined in the last week.

This is our group and all input is welcome. I will just manage it. Let me know if there’s anything you want to add or more information you’d like to request from participants.

As far as guidelines I think simple is good - the standard is:

Each cabin taking part should make a delivery to every cabin on the list.
Whether you deliver 1 gift per cabin or per person is your choice.

I will notify you of any additional guidelines that people suggest including.
Remember to subscribe. Did I say that?:)

Here’s a link to FE FAQs if you need it.

Hi Jenene,
Have you thought about whether you'll you have 2 FE's one for each room or just one hanging at either 7000/7001?
Of course you don't need to decide yet....just something to think about.

oh, sorry, duh right? Yes just one FE will hang from 7000. I wasn't thinking. We are just doing it for the three kids too, so just three pockets. Will how many pockets be noted on the list? There will be adults and kids on some FE right? and just some FE that are for Adults? Hope that isn't a dumb question.

The number of pockets doesn't necessarily relate to number of people taking part. There are some families that make personalized pockets for each member of the family, and some that just have 2 or 3 pockets to share. I even saw someone who'd hung a small totebag. It seems anything goes!:thumbsup2 As some families will decide to give 1 gift per stateroom not everyone has to have their own pocket.

As a family you and Ty will be included too (unless you really don't want to be). There are lots of adults and Grown-up kids in our cruise meet so far so maybe we'll end up with lots of 'mature' participants, physically speaking anyway!

I have added your thread to the cruise meet list :thumbsup2

Have a great cruise!

Anita, thanks so much for organizing this. :worship: I responded to the cruise meet thead before I saw the link to get here. Here is our information to be added to the list:

Lisaradz
Lisa & Anthony - Cabin 7690
Joel (boy 17), Alex (boy 11), Jack (boy 8) - Cabin 7689

As for cut-off date, on the other thread I suggested January 1st, because it is easy to remember. I know that with Feb being a short month, it will just fly by. I will need at least a month to work on the gifts (hopefully I will get most of them done long before the cut-off by checking back here when others join). Anyway, just my two cents. :yay:

Thanks Lisa for joining the party!:yay:
Will you be hanging a FE per cabin or one between you?

As I said on the main thread I think Jan 1st would be a good cut off date but as there's no real rush to set one yet, I'll hang on 'til after the summer holidays to pin people down to an opinion!:goodvibes

Cheers, Anita

Thanks fredgirls for starting the FE :thumbsup2 Count our family in :)

Cheers, Anita

I'm going to try to make 2 FE's. We'll have to see if I stick to that plan once I start sewing...:rotfl:

I am so excited that Anita was willing to organize this for us! Thanks Anita!!!
We are excited to join.

Dis name-
lisagirl88

Cabin #'s 7054 and 7056
I'm hoping to have an FE for each room.
In our travel party: Tom(pop pop), Sue(mom mom), Lisa(mom(me:)), Steve(dad), Caleb (boy, 9), Joshua(boy, 7), Micah(boy, 2), and Addison(girl,2).

I think a Jan. 1st cut off sounds good. That gives us 2 months to complete the FE gifts. Now I have to think of something to make:)

I've decided to add the gender of all the kids to the list, even when it's obvious! I think it's easier to read the list that way. And quicker to count up the girls/boys.

Anita- I agree that listing the gender will make it easier to count the number of boys/girls.

I know we don't have many families that have joined yet, but at what point do you split the group. I've only done the FE one other time and we had about 30 families. That was manageable, but getting to the point of being to large. Anyone have experience with what is a good # for the FE groups?

Hi Lisa,
With zero experience I wondered this too. That's why I posted the question to the main board. If you missed it in our other thread then here's the link.
http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2768771
It was quite interesting. A lot of people said 20 was just right. Some people have had very large groups but I got the impression no-one would recommend this! A couple of groups chose to split as small as 15.

Although we don't have many here yet I did a quick count of our meet thread and I think we're up to at least 29 cabins.

The question is when to split it. If you say at 30 then you only have 15 in each group. I guess we need more input from the group.

I think I'll post on our other thread not to push people to join, but to encourage them to subscribe to this thread, so they can join the discussion :goodvibes
Then once the summer's over I'll be all over them!!

My Mum arrives from the UK this weekend for 4 weeks. I haven't seen her in 3 years so I can't wait! Means I'll probably have less time to spend here too though! Imagine!:surfweb:

Count us in

*Valdez*
Stephanie & Cory
we booked DVC so we don't have the stateroom # yet.

This is our first cruise and are really excited.
