FE gifts for Men?

Some of the items that no one really thinks about are:

Eyeglass cleaner - whether it be the cloth alone or the liquid spray and cloth. (Think about it, how many men wear sunglasses, or glasses).

Hand sanitizer comes in very handy - especially if off the ship

A water bottle holder lanyard - SO necessary if on an excursion

Nail clippers or small nail kit - how may times do we forget our children's nails or the wife breaks a nail - he will be the hero

Deck of cards - while he's waiting for the rest of the family finishing up getting ready

Breath mints and floss picks - for after dinner... I mean do you really want to go back to the cabin to brush your teeth? You might miss something...

These are just suggestions of some items we wished we had when we were on our last cruise. So, for our next cruise, yep, we've got 'em. :thumbsup2

FE doesn't have to be a $5 gift. FE Is just a fun thing to. Its kind of cool to cone back and find lil trinkets.

noooooo...i wasn't concerned about the money amount....i was trying to say that if i, as an adult, want bottle openers, can coozies, or other kitschy stuff, i could buy my own instead of giving some away only to get some in return.....i still see this secret santa-like event as a child's thing. That is, of course, the spirit i have inferred and others see things differently....

also, anyone know of adults fragmenting from gift giving and only giving & receiving to and from kids?

I don't think it would necessary work (I mean you could just give to the kids on the FE list but I don't think you could stop people from giving to the adults in your cabin).

To me, it's no different than Christmas - yes, I could buy myself whatever I wanted / needed but it's nice when someone takes a bit of time to think of something they want me to have.

That's what I did for my FE gift - it's a cabin gift, not something I would expect that kids could use on their own (though it's good for a family activity) and it's for after the cruise (something I hope people will pull out and use and spure them to reminise about the cruise).

It's a gift. And I happen to be one of those strange people who gets just as excited about giving a gift as I do receiving one.

I agree to a large extent. We did do adult gifts but there were more like gum/via coffee/booze and not kitsch or souvenir stuff. I also stick to small FE groups - not because I don't want to give out 60 FE gifts but because I really don't want 60 FE gifts :).

my DGD must have received 50 glow sticks....she loved getting them but what the heck do you do with 50 of 'em?!?!?!:)

No one thought of cufflinks? Nothing wrong with a pair of cool cufflinks. I found some cool cufflinks while searching on google. Search unicuffs. You'll thank me :)

Cufflinks are cool, but my husband has never once needed cufflinks during the 11 years we have been married. And he probably won't until our kids get married. Using cuff links would also necessitate purchasing dress shirts to wear them with. ;)

I need ideas for FE gifts for men. I have all the rest of the other family members. Mens stuff is the hardest!!!!! I HAVE NO CRAFTING ABILITY EITHER!!!!!!!

Thanks
Sherry

Easy! Little bottles of booze. A lot of men like to drink booze. :thumbsup2

Not everyone drinks alcohol. Sent from my Tricorder using DISBoards

Not everyone eats candy, wears cuff links, or likes Pirate gear. Point is, you can't make everyone happy. Go with something that you think the majority of people will appreciate. If someone doesn't appreciate the gift, that's their problem and they can decide what to do about it.

Can you pack little bottles of booze in your suitcase ?
No.
