FE for Disney Wonder departing 2/23/17?

Hi! We're so excited for our first Disney cruise, and would love to participate in a FE - has anyone stepped up to organize one? I'd do it if I had the FOGGIEST idea of what I'm doing, but since I'm new to all of this, I don't think it would be too successful if I were to plan!!

Thanks! I found the forum for the departure, but there isn't any information in there regarding the FE - so was hoping if I put something out here it might help.

On the Cruise Meet board there is a thread "Find your 2017 Wonder Cruise Meet LINK here". On that thread, there is a link to a cruise meet for that cruise.

Cruise meet threads are where Fish Extenders, as well as many other topics, are handled for your cruise. There may be FE groups on other sites, but they are not DISboards connected.

Also be aware that not all Cruise Meet groups do FEs. It's up to the individuals in the meet group to decide if they want one, and someone must step up and say they'll maintain the list. Often, no one wants to take the responsibility, and it doesn't happen.

I've organized FE groups for cruises a few years ago. There is a template in my signature that anyone is welcome to download and use. It's a Google Doc that someone else shared with me. It's read only, so you will need to save it to your Google Drive to use it. There's a spreadsheet and a form. The link to the form can be shared so people can signup. You can share the spreadsheet with those that have signed up to give them everyone's info. I find this better than posting names and other personal info on the board.

We can't direct people to other sites for Fish Extender groups, or even other cruise groups here on DISboards. You'll have to search them out yourself.

But I will mention that FEs are not exclusive to any one site. You can participate in more than one FE, on more than one site.

Not wishing to rain on your parade, did you read the restrictions as to what links may be posted for cruise meet groups/FE groups? The site that your document is on is on that prohibited list.

I agree that the way you've done it seems to be the easiest, but it is what it is.

That's interesting. I didn't think Google docs constituted another site.

In any event, I'm not using it to setup an FE list, just sharing the information. The document I have is read only and can't be used to save anything. I'm not breaking any rules. Thanks for the explanation so others know not to use it that way.

Your group has a FB group, that's where you can sign up for FE.
