FDD only offered Fall 2013?

I just talked to my Ta and she said that she has heard through her sources that Disney might be offering FDD for fall 2013 only. Going back to how it used to be

They did say a while back that they would be pulling back the discounts and promotional offers. I honestly expected it to happen a lot sooner.

I don't know what kind of sources they have that can predict that far in advance, but free dining is the most effective promo they've got for filling empty rooms. If they feel like they need to fill the rooms they'll probably keep offering it. If they're filling the rooms without it, they won't need to.

Not to mention that the Free Dining offer expanded AFTER the whole hulabaloo about wdw cutting back on discounts.
TAs won't know till the sale breaks.

What do you mean the way it used to be? Were you referring to the dates if so what were those? We are planning for a late August 2013 trip and are hoping for some sort of discount either room, military room, or free dining so just wondering if they go back to Fall only was the end of August included in the original FD promo.

We are planning on an anniversary trip somewhere around the end of Sept beginning of Oct.... do they normally do free dining around that time?

Over the past few years, the "Late Summer" deals have typically ended right around the end of September. So, as long as you aim for end of Sept to start the trip, you should fall under them IF (that's a big if) they follow the same pattern.

For example, this year I went with the FD promo for my 9/27-10/6 dates. Technically the promo ends on 9/28, but since it's a package, you can come in before the end of the deal and keep it for the whole trip.
