FD question... is it too late?

With the current online dining reseravation system (which I do like) and FD how does this affect your ablity to take a last minute trip. I have been looking at airfare etc for the end of of the month and really wonder it I would get any ADR's and actually be able to use or rather take advantage of FD at the last minute. Thoughts?

Unless you have very specific table service places, I think the flight deals and room only discounts would be an awesome couple of reasons to go.

I agree. There are still plenty of ADR's out there. I just changed ADR's this week for the first week of September. Plenty of choices.

I have been switching back and forth between the FD deal and pricing out the 40% off room only discount, staying at a MOD the FD seemed the way to go. I don't however want to be stuck with credits that I can't use.

Why not just look online and get an idea of what's available?

I agree - get on the online system and see what comes up as available. You can make reservations now - you don't have to have a room reservation.

I think you could find plenty of availability, just probably not at the most popular restaurants (Le Cellier, Chef Mickey's, Ohana) There are A LOT of great restaurants out there, though!

I agree with the pps. Look at the specific availability for your dates online. I know that I wanted to change my days around after Toruringplans showed their per park calendar and there was no availability for me to change the following restaurants: Tusker House and Crystal Palace for breakfast; Ohana, Cali Grill, Tutto Italia, Coral Reef for dinner. There was more availability for lunch. HTH!

There are plenty of ADR's available still. If you aren't determined to eat @ Ohana and Le Cellier you should b fine. Check thewebsite, be flexible(lunch instead of dinner) and try something new. You may find a new favorite. All yu can do is look into it.

I went on the Disney site last night and they have a pretty good search engine for ADR's. I just put in my date and a time and it pulled up all the resturants that have opening for that day with the times. I thought it was pretty neat. While they weren't our favourites there was plenty of options....Now I need to sell DH!
