FD for Holidays?

What do any of you think are the chances that Disney may give us FD for Nov and early December this year? We've never gone for Christmas before (we're going after Turkeyday) and FD would really be a big help for us. Oh, and we're staying at AoA, but AoA has been given FD up to Sept. 29th. Thanks!

Free dining is usually offered as a way to fill up the hotels. There usually isn't a reason to try to fill the rooms at Thanksgiving because they fill by themselves. But maybe after that.

They had FD in early Dec last year. A bummer to make ADR lol. But I hope you get it I go with my 35% off room

We've seen FD for the past few years in early December, but the opening of the new Fantasyland section at MK may end up affecting availability of discounts since some families have delayed their trips to be able to see and experience this new area. I guess we all have to wait and see.

We're not going for Thanksgiving, we're going the week after. We were told that crowds are very low that week and the MVMCP on the Sunday night after Thanksgiving is the best night for the party as the crowds are so low. I hope they include our week with any FD for early December.

DCLFUN what are the dates for the new Fantasyland to open? I haven't heard any actual date yet. Thanks.

Thanksgiving was November 24. This year it is November 22. You can see there were several blackout dates after December 1.

The Fantasyland expansion will open in stages. Part of Storybook Circus has already opened. Disney gives the following timetable for the rest of the expansion:

Late 2012 – Under the Sea ~ Journey of the Little Mermaid ride, Be Our Guest restaurant, Beauty and the Beast village, Belle meet-and-greet, Castle wall

Early 2013 – Remaining half of Storybook Circus with Pete’s Silly Sideshow

Late 2013 – Seven Dwarfs Mine Train roller coaster

As you can see they are not giving out any exact dates.

Oh this gives me a lot of hope! You said that last year Thanksgiving was the 24th and FD started on the 26th. This year Thanksgiving is in the 22nd and we're going on the 24th! If they have FD at all for the holiday period, we should be in! This would be such a big help for us.
I'm really hoping that The Little Mermaid ride and the Be Our Guest Restaurant is open by then, too, even though they aren't giving exact dates yet. Thanks so much for your info!
