FD coming

Is this really any different than any other restaurant though? How often does a waitress at Chili's have to explain what comes with a meal, what's extra, etc? It's just a fact of life with food service. :confused3

yes sure i know that, but some guest get really mad when they can´t do what they hope with the DP, at a normal restaurant nobody goes with a prepaid plan it´s a different situation i think, but I could be wrong :thumbsup2

Now I'll agree that a guest should get mad or berate a CM because they can't get something on the DP but I think that Disney is a pretty unique situation that requires some explaining for all but the very few frequent visitor or super planner/researchers. If a person or family comes once a year and gets the DP and Disney changes the DP each year then an explanation at the register or table will be needed in most cases. I've also seen where the CMs don't even know what's covered and what isn't. Each restaurant and snack cart is a little different from one to the next and while there are many similarities (and again the seasoned vets can pick up on those) people who are unfamiliar with everything as a first or second time guest will need some assistance.

A lot of amusement park jobs are like factory work. You stand in the same spot for hours doing the same thing over and over again. It doesn't seem unusual to me.

We are doing the QS option...reading all of these posts about clarity is making me nervous. I figured everything was going to be pretty much self explanatory at the restaurants/snack carts....

You will be fine! Look for the DP sign next to an item to see if it is covered by the dining plan. OR....you can always listen to the group in front of you. The CM will be explaining it to them :rotfl2:

So look or eavesdrop?? I can do that! Lol
good, at least it's kinda self explanatory than.

On the note of too many desserts. We're a family of 7 so we always have too many desserts. I carry ziplock bags and we try to always choose cookies, grapes or rice krispie treats for a few of the desserts. I put them in my park bag and it never fails that the kids get hungry in a line, or waiting on Fantasmic.....so the extras come in handy :).

That's a good idea...ill have to pack a gallon size ziplock bag to put in my Disney bag.
