Fd 2011?!

I have to say that I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw FD offered already for 2011! If someone's not paying attention they just might miss their booking! I can't believe they gave a discount a whole year out! Yes, I know there's blackout dates, but I mean it's good until 9/29/11! Looks like the discounts won't be coming to an end for awhile! I wonder why they did that?

I know. I booked FD for Jan/Feb 2011. However, it's not obvious when you go onto disneydestinations.com. You have to go to the bottom and click on special offers. It doesn't automatically offer the discount options when you price out a vacation. I'm telling everyone I know about it.

Why do they only offer it for 4nights/5days? DO they ever offer FD for longer?We are planning to visit for thhe first time with our 3 kids and we would like a whole week to enjoy everything or more so do it so we don not have to rush.

I was able to get the free dining extended past the June 2nd cut off date. We won't be checking out until June 4th. However, I wasn't able to add a day at the beginning of the trip.

They just give that as an example for pricing. You have to have at least 3 nights and can go up to 14.

We already booked 14 nights for next September, before we even leave for this September's trip! Gotta love that!!

If you're going for a week, just check in on 9/29 (last day of promo) and stay until October 5...you'll get the Free Dining for the whole week as long as you're checked in on the last day of the promotion.

That is why we booked our FD for Sept 2011, checking in on the last day, 9-29-11 (for 10 nights). That should give us the first week of food and wine.

sorry for the typo...we will be checking in on 9-29-11 for 10 nights. We may even modify our ressie and add a few extra nights.

Sadly we can't stay that long.....my husband is only allowed 5 days off at work at one time, so we add the weekend before and the weekend after and we have a max of 9 days/8 nights for vacation. If we checked in on the Thursday that FD ended on (29th) we'd have even less days....because he'd have to be back at work the following Thursday. It's a cruddy rule....I wish we could stay 10-14 days at Disney or the beach....but oh well

You can begin your visit by checking in on ANY date that is within the FD offer and you will be granted FD through your check-out date. For example, if you need to check-in on Tuesday, September 27 - go ahead and do so as they won't stop an offer midway through your ressie.
