Our 2/15/21 Magic sailing was canceled today, and I have a couple of questions about our FCC. I apologize if I have missed this information in previous posts.

1. If I book a cruise for next February, but then want change to a different sailing, is that possible?

and,

2. Is there any chance that DCL will extend the FCC expiration date beyond5/31/22? I would love to use ours on an Alaskan cruise, but have August in mind as the better time to go.

Thanks so much for your insight!

To answer your questions:

1. Yes, if you are outside the cancellation penalty window. For a February 2022 cruise, as of right now, you have 120 days before departure (around October 2021) to make changes. Details here:
https://disneycruise.disney.go.com/special-offers/book-with-confidence/
2. There is always a chance. Most other cruise lines have extended their time windows. I would book right now what you want for February using the FCC and, if the window is extended, change it to Alaska before the October cancellation date.

Question: We received 10% onboard booking discount for 2/2021 cruise, which has been canceled. We received 25% FCC and will book early 2022 cruise. Should not the 10% discount also be applied as a carryover? Thank you for any clarity.

I haven't heard the latest on onboard booking discounts for a while. Normally, those have a 2-year expiration, dating from when you first got the onboard booking/placeholder. When we rebooked our March 2021 cruise to a March 2022 cruise a couple of months ago, they were still allowing extensions of the 10% off (ours normally would have expired in Nov. 2021, but they said we could still use it until end of may 2022). However, they did say at one point that they were going to stop allowing extensions at some point. So basically, I think you just need to ask. They are not technically obligated to extend the 10% onboard booking discount beyond the original 2 years, but seems like they are doing so recognizing the oddity of the situation.

Question - I have a March 2021 booked - if Disney cancels (PIF) and we get 125% credit for a future cruise, what happens if we add a person to the booking who wasn’t on the original cruise?

The FCC is provided to each individual guest whose booking is impacted by the cancellation. If the guest was on the cancelled PIF booking, the FCC would be provided to the guest - otherwise, no. You can add as many or as few guests on subsequent bookings - anyone not on the original cancelled booking would just need to pay like they normally would.

I learned that the hard way, when I re-booked a cruise that my wife and I had booked, and then added our daughter.

I am really hoping they extend the March 2022 deadline on mine. I'd love to be able to get the spring/summer.

I have a question - sorry if I missed it on other threads:

We have a cruise sailing in July - If I PIF it in Feb-March, can I apply the 125% FCC on a cruise already booked for March 2022?

thanks in advance.

Are you asking whether you can apply the FCC from your July 2021 cruise (to be cancelled in the future) to an existing cruise? If so, yes. You can apply any FCC to any cruise - new or existing - other than the cruise the FCC was generated from.

Another important bit. If you have paid for your July cruise partially with a prior FCC and the remainder with new money, the entire cruise is FCC-tainted. It means that - on cancellation - your prior FCC will return to your account while the new money will be refunded to the original method of payment. That is, no 125% on the partial payment you made with the new money!

Yes.
I intend to PIF my July 2021 Med cruise in March.
I'm almost certain it will be cancelled.
If it does get cancelled, can I use the 125% FCC towards paying our existing 2022 WBPC booking?
Thank you for your reply.

1. Yes, I have done that myself.

2. Very little chance. Almost no chance, if ships begin sailing within the next 6 months. Only becomes likely if there is no cruising for most or all of 2021. The Wish is scheduled to debut in summer 2022, and they won't want people using bonus credits for that, or for 2022's other premium summer cruises.
