FB ads????

what the heck is up with the ads on FB all of the sudden?

I'm afraid if this is the new norm we may be leaving soon

I don't see them. Maybe you kicked on something on FB to make it happen. Do you normally allow apps & give them permission? Maybe its one of those.

I don't do any of those apps. No games. No quizzes.

No - mine was a psychic ad & my dh had an at&t ad on his account.

can't imagine how we managed to get them

No ads on my FB with IE. My son is a big Firefox fan, and is furious now that some ad companies have found ways around their ad blocking.

Honestly, for something free, I'm willing to put up with a little bit of ads. It's possible that they have been on my screen and I haven't noticed them

I'm sure that someone will make an app or something to block them soon enough.

I'm on facebook all the times and have never seen ads like that. They have always has the few off to the right side but never in the middle of my page

I only get a couple to the far right, nothing in the middle of my wall/posts. Maybe you should contact fb as you might have a problem w/ your account.

Maybe there's something to change in your settings. I haven't seen anything in the middle of my pages. Only on the right hand side. I'm on there all the time.

Before my netbook got a virus it did happen to me...and drove me nuts! Some of them would start playing loudly as you were trying to scroll. I'm a huge fv fan so it made things slow and annoying. I've been using my beast computer and hubbys iPad for a few weeks and haven't noticed them in awhile.

I haven't noticed the ads being too intrusive. I DID however notice on one of the side ads...a pretty embarrassing product with one of my friends "likes this".

I use Google Chrome and the AdBlock and AdBlockPlus extensions. I don't see ads on Facebook or here on the DIS.

There are many facebook accounts that are fake and post spam on walls. Adblocking extensions can't block those, assuming they are text.

If you are seeing adds ON YOUR WALL (not on the right side), it might be that some of your friends have had their accounts hijacked. Or you let anyone post to your wall.
