Faxing Room Requests

IS this still acceptable? I have done it in the past....

Is there a current list of fax numbers? The list I found seems outdated...

Looking for BLT and AKV Kiddani.

Are the room assignments made at JAmbo and CR?

Also, even if this is no longer aceptable I may need to send/receive faxes during my trip. I hope not, but think based on past experience I will be searching for information while on vacation. Would rather be prepared.

DVC dose not accept fax request. Request need to be made through MS. Room assignment are made 10 days out from arrival.

We stayed at OKW in July prior to becoming DVC members. We paid cash and were not renting someone's points. I had made room preferences when making my reservations but decided to fax my preferences about 4 days out. My feelings were that it may not make any difference but it couldn't hurt. All of my preferences were met.

Please keep in mind that our reservations were through Central Reservations. I am not sure if DVC room requests when staying on points are handled separately.

I have been told by the room assigners at several resorts that they never even see the faxes, they go right into the trash. Some resorts assign rooms several days in advance, some the night before, and others, on occasion, not at all.

Like Disneycouple99 says, DVC does not accept faxes. Any fax will be tossed out. Just add it to your reservation. And, remember, a request is just that, a request. It's not guaranteed.

If you need to send or receive faxes while you are there, you can ask the CM at the desk what the number is for receiving or sending. They may refer you to a business center.
