I was just looking through my favourites on YouTube and thought this might be a good topic for a thread.

What are your favourite TV theme tunes of all time?

This is mine - brings back memories of Saturday nights when I was a kid, eating my dinner in front of the TV. I remember watching this and chucking my peas all over the floor one night before I learnt how to cut things properly

CHiPs

Great idea, David! :thumbsup2

One of mine would have to be the theme tune to Robinson Crusoe that was on in the summer hols when I was a kid - I absolutely loved the music and remember it fondly even now...

Also, The Flashing Blade was fab too...

Oh and the original Tomorrow People series!!! I can't leave that out - the guy who played Stephen was my first crush... :rolleyes1 This storyline was my fave - I even bought the accompanying book! I think it was because Stephen wore a kilt... ;)

AND I STILL WANT A JAUNTING BELT!!!!

From my childhood:
Action Force It was GI Joe for Brits basically. They dubbed GI Joe characters with international voices and made it more world wide instead of US focused. Win!
Poddington Peas YES!
The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh I was obsessed with this when I was a kid. It probably sparked my interest in Disney. Well this and the fact my mum used to read Disney pic books to me when I was little.
Penny Crayon I wanted to be able to do this when I was young.
The Raccoons I LOVE this. I have the sing along video tape somewhere.

mine would have to be Knightrider and the A team

you beat me to it but I must have to add the Banana Splits...Tra, la, la...la, la, la, la.....tra, la, la...la, la, la, la :rotfl:

LOL, I loved the theme to the Banana Split too. I also liked Rainbow and the Six Million Dollar man ~ ahh those were the days :)

Hi guys, dont want to ruin the fun of this thread, but before linking any You Tube videos can you have a quick scan down of the comments on the Youtube video that your linking to. I have had a quick scan and there are a couple with extremley bad language in the comments(why people feel they have to do this is beyond me):confused3, and of course if they are too bad we will have to remove the link.

Just to claify - Links to You Tube are fine as long as there is no extreme profanity in the comments coloums of the link. Cheers:thumbsup2

Now back to the thread... I also love the Banana Splits, but another favorite of mine was H R Puffinstuff.:thumbsup2

Another two of my favourites:

The Professionals

The Sweeney

As well as being great tunes and programmes they were both directed and/or produced at some point by a familiar name to me - David Wickes. ;)

The Sweeney - Closing Credits (Spot the former Eastenders actress in these)

EDIT: Sorry Sue, I never gave the comments a thought. I've changed the link in my first message to a 'clean' version.

Mine are:

The Gummi bears - reminds me of lazy Sunday mornings

Sharkey and George

Baywatch - I think it's because it was on a Saturday night and I used to watch it with my tea on my lap - it was so much fun :rotfl: Can't post link as can't find a clean one :headache:

Thundercats Thundercats HOOOOOO!!!

My Little Pony I had all the figures and movies and I think at one point I wanted to be one of them - yes I was a strange child :rotfl2:

Care Bears Do the Care Bears countdown....

Great thread idea!!!!!!!

BTW I think I've checked pretty well for you know what's - why anyone would want to use that language on a Care Bears video is beyond me!! :sad2:

Great thread:thumbsup2

I loved the banana splits the sweeney, the a team and Night rider :thumbsup2
