Favourite show?

Hi everyone,
In a few weeks we're leaving for WDW. I am counting the days
We have been in Disneyland Paris about 20 times and once in WDW before.
One of the things I enjoy most are the shows. Like them better than most rides...
What is the best show at WDW?
And I don't mean the ones you have to pay for like Cirque du Soleil, but the regular ones.

There are so many great shows throughout EPCOT - performers outside the pavillions of the World Showcase and even around Future World. But a couple of my favorite WDW shows where you actually go into a theatre or auditorium are:

Festival of the Lion King at AK. This, actually, is a lot like Cirque du Soleil. Live performances of singing, dancing and acrobatics. Very lively and colourful. Great costumes.

Beauty and the Beast at MGM. There is a great pre-show of 4 guys singing a capella (sp?). Then the show itself is a live performance, Broadway show-type condensed version of the Beauty and the Beast movie. They sing a lot of the songs from the movie and their costumes are very elaborate (they look exactly like in the movie). It really is a must see, even if you know the movie off by heart.

I have to agree. I love Festival of the Lion King and Beauty and the Beast. We have to see these shows more than once per trip.

You really must see Indiana Jones at MGM, especially if you have boys. My boys just love it. The show is made from scenes from the first Indiana Jones movie. They even have volunteers from out of the audience to help out with parts. Be ready to laugh and laugh! It's really an "explosive" show!!

Oooh shows...there are many...
I really like Beauty and the Beast (@ MGM)because added to the show is a short performance which is comical of four guys singing. They sound good too!
Also Indy Jones (@MGM) is good if you like explosives and action.

Tarzan (@ AK) is exciting. Rollerscaters coming flying down the stage and into the crowd on the walkways. It is cool!

Muppets 3D (@ MGM) is a nice show.

my favorites are: festival of the lion King and Beauty and the Beast...
Also, make sure to allow time to see all the performers in World Showcase at EPCOT...most of the pavallions have performers native to their repective lands that put on shows on a regularly scheduled basis...not to be missed
And of course; don't miss the big 3: wishes, illuminations & fantasmic---definite must sees

Dont forget the 3-D shows! Its tough to be a bug ( inside the tree of life) at Animal Kingom, Honey I Shrunk the auidence, at EPCOT, and Muppets 3-d show at MGM! I like the bugs best!!

Festival of the Lion King - Must see!! It's wonderful.

The performers in World Showcase: The Living Statues in Italy, the Dragon Acrobats in China. These two are outstanding, IMO

i just adore tarzan rocks. it puts me in sucha great high energy mood. the 3 leads sure know how to sing, you'll be in my heart always gives me goosebumps!

The mime in France is our favorite. His interaction with little kids just cracks us up--I'd go to EPCOT just to watch him!

Also love the drummers in Japan!

Off Kilter in Canada is always a must for us, as is Beauty and the Beast! Try the new Mickey's Philharmonic! It is fantastic!

I totally agree with you about Philharmagic. We just saw it in December and absolutely loved it. Had to see it twice.

If you have young ones, Fantasmic may be a "must-see" for them. Our Ds's are older and for them (and us), Illuminations is a definite.

If you're a fan of The Beatles, I highly recommend watching Epcot's tribute band, The British Invasion. They are very talented guys who sound remarkably like The Beatles. They usually play nightly at the UK pavilion.

I think Fantasmic is a must see! And I don't think I saw where anyone mentioned Mickey's NEW Philharmagic. It is a MUST SEE 3D show! And do not miss the NEW fireworks at the MK - Wishes. They are by far the best I have ever seen - the soundtrack is fabulous.

Another vote for FOTLK. It is the best show in all of WDW IMHO. Also, check out Flights of Wonder at AK also. It is about birds, but they are all wild birds and perform "tricks" but the tricks are things they would normally do in nature. And when they bring out the Bald Eagle, it just takes your breath away.

We also love the street performers in Africa at the AK. Check 'em out!

I have seen Flights of Wonder when I was at AK 5 years ago. I found it really amazing!!!
I will certainly visit that show again, because I love animals. Mice as well.

Lion King and Beauty and the Beast.
I know a lot of others say these as well. Both are "not to miss."

We also love the Ariel/Little Mermaid show. Almost any show at Disney is worth it. They are all so different!
