**Favourite Iphone app?**

as for what apps i have..

i just got my iPhone last week (it only arrived on our shores 2 weeks ago - all 3 cellphone companies got it at the same time)..

so i don't have much yet...

facebook (free)
eticket (paid)
photobucket (free)

that's it on my phone

for DH, i downloaded on his iphone wunder radio.....it's a paid app, but worth every penny...
DH is a newsaholic....so he was really annoyed by the lack of radio on the iphone....wunder radio takes care of that..
you can listen to zillions of radio stations all over the world, including news stations....

i haven't bought it for my phone yet and i doubt i will...i'm not much of a radio listener...i prefer to listen to my music...

by the way, thanks for posting this thread....i'm such a newbie, i have no idea what's out there...

No problem. I've just downloaded an app called PandoraBox and it's great. It shows you all the Apps that are on sale or are now free. Picked up a few fun apps from that and some apps were $19 and now free. You can add a wish list and when one of your wanted apps Goes on sale or free you get notified x

oh my gosh, where do i start? have managed to accumulate 6 pages of apps since november:cool1: the ones i click on daily are:

facebook
sky news

then my favs are:
wdw trivia ( i thought I knew stuff till i tried to do this quiz)
bejewelled 2
the weather channel (yes you can watch the orlando video forecast, just like from your wdw hotel room:goodvibes)
world view (webcams from around the world)
disney fireworks -its a game where you tap the colours to burst the fireworks in time to the disney music
wdw dining - all the menus right there, i cant help myself lol
empire movie guide -search by actor/director/release date, so if i have no idea what some movie on tv is about, i just check out their review
convert units- really really handy all the time

think i better stop there lol, but I must log in to pandora box or app store everyday to hunt out more freebies or new releases

I've got a few apps that I like that I'll list at some point later probably, but I wanted to list one here in particular for now - iStroboSoft (£5.99).

It's a nice little guitar tuning app - I received an electric guitar set for christmas, but I just couldn't get on with the supplied tuner. Feeling suitably frustrated, I had a little look round the web for recommendations and this one came across very well.

It's not the cheapest, but it's very easy to use, which is always a plus. I just lay my guitar flat, pop the iPhone on top of it and then pick away - tuning the strings based upon what the display says.

The other thing I like is that you can buy a lead for the iPhone that's designed for the app. The lead is about £15 and basically allows you to plug an electric guitar into the iphone for more accurate tuning.

It feeds back on all notes on the scale (not just standard guitar tuning) and over several octaves, so should work with other instruments that are tuned to other notes and pitches.

I love all the Popcap games - Bejeweled, Bookworm, Chuzzle and Peggle.
And the Monkey Island SE is a wonderful blast from the past brought up to date with a pretty lick of paint.
Of course being a naughty chap I have never paid for a single app ;)

ok and the best thing I've discovered for the iPhone, is not an app as such, but go to this site on your iPhone Safari browser:

http://iphone.tvcatchup.com/

and you can watch live tv (well, it's maybe a minute behind your actual telly) in perfect quality over 3g (or wifi, obviously). You'll thank me later :lmao:

:goodvibes

Interesting - even with the legal requirement to have a tv license in order to use this, it's pretty impressive :thumbsup2

I don't know if these are available in the UK.
I get my apps from the US iTunes since I have a US credit card
anyway
two apps I just got:
eticket - which really makea disboard browsing and posting much easier and
Dragon Dictation - a fantastic voice recognition dictation app , which is currently still free
