Now that we are on the verge of signing up for the DVC tomorrow, I was wondering where everyone's favourite place to eat is.

Have spent hours and hours browsing the parks and their dining plans, but can't decide which I like best. DS and DH love their steaks !!

It will be interesting to find out the most popular restaurants.

:lmao: :lmao: I guess you may have missed the "food porn" thread over in the Restaurants boards... 2nd sticky on the page.. there's a drinks one too:thumbsup2 . Be careful if you do look at the photos as many of them will leave you drooling like Homer Simpson and make you crave Disney food even more:lmao: :lmao:almost all of the photos have details of what they were and what type of meal eg lunch/dinner /breakfast and at which restaurant.
At some of the character meals the food has become the same at many locations only the interaction and the atmosphere makes people want to go again but it's all personal preference, for us the best proper burger has to be at LTT lunch just soooo tasty and cooked to perfection:goodvibes . Don't know why but Disney just don't seem to be able to make real mashed potatoes like we have here it's :sad2:

definatley going to get some mixed opinions on this one. For me, out of what I have experienced

best food: Bluezoo at Dolphin, Teppanyaki at Epcot, Crystal palace breakfast buffet, Boma, Raglan Road

best experience: Ohana breakfast / dinner ( think I love the Poly:cloud9: ) California Grill, 50s Prime Time

These are the ones I have really enjoyed, wish there was a list for the ones I didn't, its a bit longer:lmao:

For us, the places we would always go are:

Juko's
Grand Floridian Cafe
Citricos
Tangierine Cafe - many, many times
Spoodles
Cape May Clam Bake
Columbia Harbour House

Our favourites are:-

Boma
Jiko
Grand Floridian Cafe
Flying Fish
California Grill
Spoodles
Liberty Tree Tavern
Brown Derby
Le Cellier

I would definitely give the :thumbsup2 to:

Jiko's
California Grill
Citrico's

We just got back and can only really talk about food in parks, I've never managed to get to a resort restaurant, which is a shame as they are often raved about.

I loved the lunch buffet at Crystal Palace, the salads were fresh, the veggies crunchy, the salmon was slightly under cooked, just how I like it as opposed to everywhere else that dried it out (Mama Melroses). The carvery flank steak was juuuuuicy. This was the best meal I had in the parks.
The burgers at the sci-fi we rated well. Although not strictly disney the ribs at AK Rainforest cafe were melt in the mouth. My steak at Mama's was lovely (med/rare) but others in my party disliked their meals there. The food at the Akeshaus for the princess storybook lunch was a real surprise, my lamb was really nicely cooked.
My two girls (4 & 19mo) both lost quite a bit of weight whilst there, they didn't like the food, after two days of mac and cheese they were fed up, after splitting adults meals for them they were fed up. Never fussy eaters at home, I guess they missed their veggies and Mummy's cooking :thumbsup2 .
I thought counter service was poor, not only was the food awful at cosmic rays the 3 counter things really annoyed the hell out of us. Noodle house was poor. Beef Hot dogs......yuck!!! I enjoyed it when we had a big lunch booked, lovely disney snacks all afternoon then when back to the apt for a salad or sandwich, this suited me to a tee.

From the table service restaurants we have tried we like:

Le Cellier
Boma
Marrakesh
Hollywood and Vine

Counter service ones we like:

Peco Bills
Backlot Express
Electric Umbrella
Restaurantasaurus

Boma for breakfast and dinner
Le Cellier
Yachtsman Steakhouse
ESPN Club
Yacht Club Galley is nice as well

Counter service
Kringla Bakeri og Cafe
Boulangerie Patisserie
Columbia Harbor House
Seasons

Claire ;)

I know its not a restaurant but my favourite place to eat is Goofys Candy Co for Peanut Butter Cups and Peanut Butter Cookies followed by Cheesecake factory in Disney Quest Yummo!

i like

boma
concourse steakhouse

We love Le Cellier & Crystal Palace and always pay a visit or two to Raglan Road. For counter service I just love Columbia Harbour House :)

Congrats on joining DVC Sue! I'm sure your gonna love it!

Ok, my faves :goodvibes

Crystal Palace is our fave for Character Lunch :)

Main Sreet bakery serves IMHO the best coffee in all the parks, and i love their breakfast croissants for a quick and tasty breakfast :)

Brown Derby and 50's Prime time Cafe in MGM :)

Rainforest Cafe at DTD, Ghirardellis at DTD for Dessert :)

Beaches and cream for their huge Dessert menu (my fave is the orange sorbet0 :)

And we ALWAYS have a funnel cake outside the American pavillion at EPCOT ;)

And now i'm starvin!
Thanks Sue :rolleyes1

Thanks everyone........... I LOVE those Funnel cakes, Audrey !!

Hee hee me too... I didn't even know what one was when we got in line! Right before seeing Survivor perform live. Can't beat that...

Anyway! We ate at the Teppanyaki Tearooms in Japan... it was awesome and all the food is cooked in front of you. And very healthy! For our only healthy meal of the holiday...
