To book or to stay for resort only or what? My mind goes right to BWV since we own there and the location is fantastic. Plus we can book standard view (most of the time) and really save on points. We are also Epcot lovers and really enjoy the festivals there. BUT...the rooms are a bit tired and the CMs there can be a bit crabby and we always have MB/
MDE issues there and get a late room (well, on the later side like close to 4pm and even after a couple times).
Then my mind goes to AKV as I love love love the theme, dining, animal viewing....that feels like a deluxe resort there. They have beds for 5 in the 1/2BR units and Kidani has the extra bathrooms. BUT...hate that we cannot walk/boat to a park and that we must rely on the dreaded, BUSING. ANd that dang ride back from MK when you are soooo soooooo tired and having to stand on a packed bus

.
Next I think about a new fave of ours, SSR. We enjoy eating and drinking (more now with 3 adult kids) and so popping in/out of DS is a plus. And the rooms there are some of the most quiet out of all
DVC. We can pull our car right up to our building. Another plus is it is easier to book on short notice. BUT...the main building can be far away and a walk in the elements. And the dreaded busing is atrocious here. LAstly, it lacks theme...IMO. It is just like any ordinary condo unit one might live in.
ANd off WDW property we love our HHI. Also own here and the resort and island is wonderful. The CMs there are lovely. Some of the best CMs of all the DVC. BUT...point cost is high in summer and on weekends (way big jump on weekends) and the annual dues are ridiculously high. Crazy ridiculously high. Can rent other condos on the island, even ocean front, for less than what our dues cost for the stay.
Guess if I did some point system and had several categories and totaled up points, I think BWV would win. So that will be my vote. I do like BCV a tad better but they did away with their jetted tubs so that bumped BCV down a bit to put them on par with BWV...and we own at BWV so...it wins.
