I just asked this on the interview the person below you, and it got me thinking about all my favourite childhood toys, they were;

Space Hopper, :hyper: Chopper Bike, :moped: and Kerplunk, lol.

What were yours??

Sue :cutie:

My kids love kerplunk!

Mine would be a wooden wind- up carousel that played music. My Aunt got it for me in Switzerland. Sure wish I could find one like it for my children.

Operation game and my cabbage patch doll.

As mentioned on the other thread, I loved my Strawberry Shortcake dolls (mainly because they smelled lovely). I also had a Rubiks cube, which I never mastered, and just bought the girls one each for Christmas - I would like to announce that after approximately 20 years, I can now finally solve a Rubiks cube :teeth:

I always wanted a Mr Frosty when i was a kid but was never allowed one because my Dad thought it was a waste of money. Having recently seen them in Argos, I was very tempted to buy one but it didn't seem so appealing now :rotfl:

I'm not sure I had a set favourite as such but I spent many a happy hour playing with my Barbies & my Barbie house. As soon as I grew out of them I had a horse (a real one) so toys werent an issue any more!

Oh strawberry shortcake,i was going to say those.Didn't she smell devine :teeth: The kid's have one and all i do is smell it :rotfl: I can't remember what her enemy was called now but didn't he sing a song that went.Rat t tat,t,tat, tat, tat or something like that :confused3 and she had a pink cat.

Carebears were another one,i had funshine bear. :teeth:

I also had a Mr Frosty(sorry Joh) looking back it was a load of rubbish. It's only flavoured ice afterall.

Didn't you do the rubics cube in about 30 min's joh,As soon as you realised you could pull it apart and put it back together. :rotfl:

Penny Puppy Walker! and the old original shaker makers!

I loved my fisher rpice movie viewer... you know the one that you turn the handle and it played all those animated disney cartoons....
Also had this doll ( dont remember her name) that when you pulled her arm down her eyes went all over the place , cross eyed up and down etc... perfect because I was crosseyed when small lol...

I loved the Fisher Price Little People and then later on I had a magnetic theatre where the people had magnets underneath and there were paddles with magnets on them which went under the stage so you could move them about.

DD (3) has a Strawberry Shortcake and book so I asked her what the cat is called but she told me 'I'm a bit busy at the moment I'll tell you later!' It's going to be a long day! :teeth:

Mine would have to have been my ZX Spectrum :)

I have had plenty of computers in my time but nothing comes close to the hours of enjoyment I had with my school friends playing games at each others houses on our spectrums :teeth:

I also had a 7' snooker table which would come a close second ;)

Fuzzy Felt - sure I ended up with more attached to my jumper than the background card but it was fun making pictures.

Lego - one of the ultimate toys when I was a child, as my Mum and Dad both thought too - they made that spaceship that Christmas and it was MY present!

BMX - I had a Raleigh Super Burner in gold and black which I was supremely happy with - I couldn't do the stunts but I loved it all the same.

Fisher Price Garage - the one with the lift that used to make a ding when it got to the top and would then tip the car down the helter skelter ramp.

And the #1 toy from my childhood, and future adulthood...

Star Wars Action Figures and Vehicles!

After my Gran took me to see Return of the Jedi (having previously seen the first 2 as well) we went straight into a toy shop across the road from the cinema and after making sure it "wasn't just a fad" she bought me a Darth Vader action figure and I was hooked. If she was still alive I'm sure she'd pleased to know that Star Wars action figures were indeed not a fad but a lifelong obsession that still has me hooked to this day.

I played with my dolls house more than anything else.

My favourite was a 'Johnny 7' - sort of a machine gun that fired all sorts of missiles and stuff - absolutley brilliant it was.

Strawberry Shortcakes cat was called calico or Custard and her enemy was "The Peculier Purple Pie Man From Porcupine Peak" Not sure of the spelling though he he!

I remember playing marbles at Junior school and being pretty good at it. I also had a Wombles cuddly toy and a Pippa doll :)
