My son loves buffet style meals.....and who can blame him?!!!! My husband on the other hand hates them! ha! ha!
So, whilst my husband is playing golf at Sawgrass for 5 days my son and I intend to enjoy some buffet meals! Would love to hear your experiences and which is best for food/atmosphere etc! All photos gratefully received! :upsidedow

Boma, hands down!
(Sorry, I don't have my pics available today.)

our favorite is definately crystal palace. They have a good variety. We also enjoyed chef mickeys the atmosphere was good but the food at crystal palace was better

We did 5 buffets on our trip earlier this month:

Crystal Palace, Chef Mickeys, and 1900 Park Fare for dinner.

Ohanas & Donald's Safari Breakfast for Breakfast.

For our family, our favourite dinner was Crystal Palace. Food was excellent, character interation was great, restaurant was just lovely, service top-notch, and it was super convenient to eat at MK.

Ohanas was our favourite breakfast, and best overall buffet of the trip. Characters here were nothing short of SUPERB. Food was great. Fantastic service. Amazing atmosphere. And we loved the way the food was served family-style, as it was so much more relaxing and we never had to worry about missing one of the characters while we were in the buffet line.

All that said.....each of the places we ate was great, and we had no complaints about any of the buffets. Good food at each (and plenty of it).

Any other questions, don't hesitate to ask. :)

Another Boma fan here ... just because it's outside the usual buffet fare.

Like others, I think the Crystal Palace has the best buffet of any of the four parks. Outside the parks, 1900 P.F. gets the nod. I'm basing all this on food quality. But for stars on parade, Chef Mickey's fits the bill, but for breakfast moreso than dinner.

While I didn't consider 'Ohana a buffet, since it's offered family style, I didn't throw it in the mix. While it is routinely and vehemently dissed on DIS  , we just have never had a bad experience there. Perhaps we just live a charmed life.

We agree with all mentioned already but one of our must do's is Cape May Buffet for dinner. We think it is a great variety of different foods and the desserts are wonderful.

Boma breakfast, Beirgarten and Cape May dinners....man they are to die for

I think we will definitely do Boma as the slightly different food appeals to me!
Have never eaten at Cape May at the BC, what do they have for the evening buffet?

Crystal Palace if you want a character meal (and if your family really likes Winnie the Pooh).

Boma if you like to try a variety of food, and are interested in foods with an Africa influence.

Those are my two favorites.

Cape May has a little of everything. Great chicken and lots of seafood. They have the best clam chowder. You have to try the Oreo Bon-Bons. This is a family favorite.

Boma for the food, Crystal Palace for the character interaction and breakfast--which gives you the benefit of being in the MK when it opens.

We had Cape May for breakfast, and the food was good, but we waited over 30 minutes just to pay. The characters remembered that they had seen us, so they just passed by and by while my 18 month old son got more and more upset. I took him out to run around while DH and my Mom waited on our waiter to first come pick up our "Keys to the Kingdom" and then bring them back. Maybe we just a bad day, but I don't think I would go back.

Agree. :thumbsup2

Character Breakfast Buffet at the Crystal Palace with Pooh and friends; Biergarten in Germany at Epcot--something for everyone and great entertainment, and Cape May Cafe at the Beach Club for breakfast with Minnie, Goofy & Donald in their beach attire. We've also done CM's, but it is last on our list of places to go--just too crowded and "busy" for us.
