Favourite Buffalo Airport Hotel?

We stayed at the Days Inn both times for around $80.00 per night in Feb. Our kids enjoyed the pool, free breakfast was decent and the biggest perk of all was the Tim Hortons right in the parking lot

That's the property we have booked for our park and fly for our Christmas trip. It was the Timmies that sold us......yes, we are that lame :rotfl: . Hey, people have booked on less, right? :bitelip:

Glad to hear a favourable review. We generally aren't huge fans of the Days Inn chain but figured its only for one night so we would survive.

So anyone who has used Trinity to book...a quick question and/or opinion...I booked Staybridge and our plans may change if DH comes over for the night prior to our flight (it will depend on the shift he gets assigned to that week). Do you think there be a problem with the hotel if DH drops us at the airport in the morning if he does end up coming? We may or may not have to use the parking that's included...it will depend on the shift that DH ends up on for the week that we return as well. I'd hate to lose the rate, however I don't want a hassle...now considering just letting it go and driving from home on the morning of the flight. When I booked it, we thought there was no way DH could either swing dropping us off or coming over with us the night prior.

You won't have a problem. I actually stayed at the hotel with a Trinity reservation on a shopping trip with my mom and sister last year. It was by far the cheapest rate even without considering the parking. I emailed Trinity to ask whether proof of flight would be required. They said no such proof needed. I also stayed with my family on a buy reservations booked reservation, and again, had no need for the parking and there was no problem.

Can I get this code?

I didn't keep it, unfortunately. It was only good until September 2012.

If you call the hotel directly, they would be able to tell you if they have a promotion running for the time of your stay.

If you are open to other options, we really liked the Days Hotel Buffalo Airport........the staff are super friendly, the property is very clean, the restaurant onsite is very good, the pool and hot tub were large and well maintained, and its super, super close to the airport. Great shuttle too :thumbsup2 . Flew from BUF for the first time last Sunday and had a great experience. Oh yeah.....the breakfast is pretty good too for a continental breakfast (even included french toast), and it opened at 4:00 am. The staff went through to all the families with young kids as they grabbed their quick bite and handed out colouring books and crayons to the little guys to keep them busy on the plane. I thought that was a nice touch.

Just booked Staybridge Suites through Trinity Reservations for $98 inclusive. Thanks for the tip!!!

We love the "staybridge suites via trininity reservations" deal.
We are staying there tomorrow for the same price you are: 98.00 taxes in. I'm not sure if they will have the free "happy hour" tomorrow (being a holiday) but even if they don't, it's a great deal.

Bumping this back up. We have previously stayed at Staybridge Suites through Trinity Reservations and it was fine. I could get it for 98 all in for this trip but it is a little further out and we don't have a lot of time to play with. Our flight leaves at 6 am so I'd rather just get on a 4:00 or 4:30 shuttle and be at a closer hotel.
The best rate I am finding is through BuyReservations. It will be 141.00 for 10 days parking and room at the Days Hotel Buffalo Airport. And what can I say.. my friend Gina sold me with the Tim Hortons in the parking lot:rotfl:

43.00 dollars extra is worth it to me to be that close, and not worry as much about the shuttle. I would however very much recommend Staybridge through Trinity Reservations to anyone who is looking. We just want to be a bit closer this time.:)

I just booked Staybridge Suites through Trinity for this weekend. What do I need to know about the shuttle? Is it nice?

:rotfl2: Nice to know we are not the only ones out there with a Timmies addiction!!

I must say.......it was so nice have the Tim Hortons there when we returned from our trip. While DH worked to unbury the truck from all the snow that fell while we were away, I was able to get us all a nice hot beverage from our beloved Timmies to warm us up. :thumbsup2 Like a nice, little, "welcome home"! :goodvibes

I hope you enjoy your stay there, pigletto!

We have stayed at the Comfort Suites on Dick road, not to fly out of the airport, but for weekend shopping trips, It's nice and clean, breakfast is included and I know it is close to the airport.

When we took the shuttle last year, it was at supposed to be a pre-defined time but when we got to the lobby, they just asked us if we wanted to go as we were the only family at that time.
Shuttle was clean, no issues at all.
Driver was super nice, helping us with the bags.
We went there on the 1st this month to do some shopping and had a great time once again. I love the fact it's so close to places we like to visit, like Applebee's, Walmart and Olive Gardens.
One thing I noticed is that they changed the number of days when the "happy hour" takes place.
It's now only on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday so if you spend the night there on one of those days, it's a bonus.

Same for us, :thumbsup2 they just drove us when we were ready. We stayed here thanks to your tip Camilo and it was excellent, really had everything we could want and because it is so new and spacious it just seemed like a luxurious treat compared to other park and flys we have used

I am curious what you paid for your shopping trip stay as I assume you could not use the park and fly rate...

We are a family of 7 so def need 2 rooms if we book thru Trinity but their site says that it can only book one room per rez. Would DH just book 1 room & I book the other? They do have 2 bedroom suites but at a cost of (gulp) $344/nt!!

It is a great deal @ $98. Even if we get 2 rooms - still not bad since it includes the parking!

Did anyone travel with an infant? Did you need a carseat for the shuttle? We aren't bringing one on our trip.

Glad I could give this tip and you likes the hotel.

I paid the park and fly rate on this shopping trip. As it wouldn't accept the reservation without the dates, I made the dates up but was straight when I got there.

I found out we couldn't have used the park and fly code.

The lady working reception was nice enough to allow us to stay there this time, but told us we couldn't use it unless we were leaving the car there.

Lesson learned....

For future shopping trips, I'll probably stay at the Marriott via Priceline. For park and fly, Staybridge all the way :).

Our little one was 3 last year and just went on the seat of the shuttle.
I did take his car seat to Florida but it was packed for the car rental down there.
If you want ot be 100% sure, I would suggest you call the hotel, but I am pretty certain they leave it up to you.

This was also our experience with the shuttle. We were the only ones on it, it was clean and the driver was very friendly and helpful. No issues with the hotel, the staff or the shuttle. It was a pleasant experience all around.

Funny story, the night we checked in I was talking to the young man at the front desk and we started talking about Disney. He was leaving that week to go back to the Disney cast member program. He was a server at Beaches and Cream. He was a really nice young guy and it was fun to talk Disney with someone right before the trip:)
