I'm planning out our next trip this coming Feb and thought we would try somewhere for breakfast. We usually have a quick bit at the hotel and head to the parks early so this is a new experience for us. We are happy to go anywhere - park or resort - so our options are wide open.
Any recommendations? Timing suggestions? We're a large group, 7 adults & 2 kids - both boys, so we'd love somewhere fun!
TIA!! popcorn::

We like The Crystal Palace if you can get the earliest reservation...we think it is a lovely setting and is really exciting to be in the MK before opening. It makes for great photos, too!

For a late breakfast, we like to hit Chef Mickey's -- after spending a few hours at the MK. We try to get the last reservation time. (Although, they are making some changes...so this may be different.) There is a nice variety of foods and it's just a short walk or relaxing monorail ride away from the MK.

For a non-character meal, we love the Kona Cafe at the Polynesian Resort. The have great coffee (REALLY hard to find in WDW) and delicious food.

My kids are young so we are very MK-oriented! Hope this helps!

If you are looking for a fun breakfast then I would try Chef Mickey's or Ohana because of the interaction with characters and other guests.

If you are looking for the best selection and food then I would try Boma (as previous poster mentioned) or 1900 Park Fare at the GF. The Crystal Palace is also very good with Pooh characters.

Forget the Pooh characters...I love the CP breakfast!! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

We loved Ohana!! Had a group of 9, no kids under 16, but it was a lot of fun, lots of character interaction, the food was great, and I love the Polynesian theme in general. Unfortunately we only did one character breakfast this past trip and it was Chef Mickey's. I would definitely do Ohana again before Chef Mickey's. Have Fun :thumbsup2

:confused3 has anyone ever had breakfast from the rainforest cafe in AK? i've heard mixed reviews about their breakfast and was planning on going there to try it out and now i'm not so sure we should...

We always eat at Kona before our day at MK. Yes that does mean if we do MK 3 times a trip we eat at Kona 3 times. It is by far our favorite Restaurant at WDW.

Is Boma breakfast a character meal?

No, but one great thing about the Animal Kingdom Lodge is that you can step outside and view the Savannah before and/or after your meal.

We have not tried very many breakfasts, but we enjoy eating at the Rainforest cafe outside of AK before we go into the park that day. From what I remember from the last time we ate there, Dh got something like a breakfast pizza and I got waffles with tons of stuff on them. It was all very, very good. And the kids loved the atmosphere with the animatronic elephants and monkeys and rain and such!

I love the POFQ foodcourt breakfast named 'Bills Breakfast Blast' - I hope it is still served - its like a french toast loaf layered with blueberries and cinammon and creme anglais served with sausage or bacon. It is the PERFECT breakfast. :)

We loved Chef Mickeys and plan on doing it again in Feb 07. Food and characters were great! Ohana- characters were good, good was average. CRT was good, but we only saw Cinderella for a few mins before we went upstairs.

I miss the empress lily breakfast, but what the breakfasts that I have to do are the O'hana and Donald's Breakfastausuarus (can't spell). Both have characters. The Donald is a serve yourself type buffet and the O'hana they bring it to you. Eating the Donald also gives you a heads up on the line for Dinosaur. It would be a hard choice for me to choose one, but I would probably go with O'hana.

Our only Character Breakfast was at Chef Mickey's on my DD8 birthday around 9:50 a.m. (we had 9:40 a.m. ressies and I asked for a later one, the best they could do was 9:50 a.m. Go figure!)

After we finished stuffing ourselves, it was around 11:30 a.m. and I did not eat again until around 10:30 p.m.!!! I drank water throughout the day since it was hot!

My vote is for Chef Mickeys! We enjoyed FINALLLY getting Mickey and Minnie's autograph and pictures up close! DD enjoyed eating a chocolate cupcake for Breakfast!!!

Well I loved Chef Mickeys but I will be trying Crystal Palace this time. Another one of mine is Kona's if you don't want Characters. I do love Trails End also.
