Favorite Way to Spend Arrival Day

We do a park as soon as we drop our bags at the resort. We do that if we arrive at 9AM or 9PM, it doesn't matter. To the parks we go, and that means MK almost every time. One time we arrived to the resort after 9PM, and MK was open until 11. We went to MK. We got there after 10, but we didn't care, we just walked up Main Street, had an ice cream, rode one ride, watched the Kiss goodnight and went back to our room.

I like to go to Disney Springs and get my Ghirardelli ice cream.

We used to do lunch at Disney Springs, then a bus to a monorail resort and explore, then take the monorail to Epcot for a relaxing evening. Now, since I've pretty much explored all of the monorail resorts to death, we prefer to unpack and go to Animal Kingdom. Even with Pandora it's a still a half day park for me, so this works out well.

However. My next trip we're arriving later than we ever have (1 pm), so we're going to check into our resort, unpack, get the lay of the land and enjoy a fancy dinner at Disney Springs (STK).

With young kids and your resort being in walking distance to MK, I'd head to MK.
