I am looking for a good walking sneaker or sandal that is not going to break my piggy bank!

Was wondering if anyone out there could refer (from experience) a good sneaker or sandal that is under $75?

Thank you!

I brought 3 pairs of sandals on my trip trip to WDW and ended up using mainly 1 pair which are Tevas. Actually they're flip flops, but they were so comfortable. They're the only pair of flip flpws I've ever owned that don't slip and they're also waterproof which was a great feature since we got caught in the rain a few times and they worked well at the waterparks. Didn't get a blister the entire trip either until I wore my sneakers one evening at Downtown Disney. I love my Tevas and plan on buying several pair. The ones I currently have were purchased at Sierratradingpost.com. Go to Teva.com to check out all the styles they carry and then do a web search to see if you can find the ones you want at a better price. You may even find them on sale at your local shoe store.

I just LOVE my New Balance. You can get really good deals ..... sometimes Kohls have a heck of a sale on them.

A friend of mine is a Podiatrist, and told me those are the shoes he recommends for a good price

New Balance tennis shoes! They are the best sneakers I have ever owned!

I loooove Easy Spirit's. The kind with the bumpies inside. If you buy them at Macy's or Hecht's or such, then they will be full price which can be around $90. But you can usually find them at the outlet stores, or a Marshall's type place for half that. They are incredibly comfortable. We have a big outlet mall, that has an Easy Spirit outlet store, they occasionally have them buy 1 get 2nd @ 1/2 price. They were $50 each- and I was able to get 2 pair for $75 :)

I used to think they were granny shoes (no offense) because my granny told me about them, but they have running and cross trainer types, that are cute and soo comfy.

I love my New Balance sneakers. They make a bunch of different "walking" styles that are extremely comfortable. I get mine at Bob's or Kohls, since they usually have the best prices.

I also bought a great pair of Reef flip-flops at Bob's for about $20 that have some kind of special shock absorbers in the heel.

After orders from my doc to get rid of my nike and go to new balance shoes, I found I love my new balance.

I bought a fabulous pair of Columbia sandals.

I am probably the only person that can't stand TEVAS! (I hate the way the straps are )

Me and my DH bought the same pair, and we got both pair for $52.xx.

They are the Columbia Raft Runner (I think). I actually bought a mens pair, because I couldn't stand the cutesy impratical womens stylings...

I don't like Tevas either. I love my Birkenstocks! My favorite "park" shoe is Ryka...............I love them.

this past summer when you donated $25 to the AHA.

I have wore mine everyday (at home and the parks) and would love to have another pair! If anyone knows where I can find them please let me know!

They are very cushiony and they come in widths. I have upped my walking so I really could use another pair.

I have to agree with Cindy B. Teva straps are funky on my feet. I just got a pair of Nike Deshutz sandals. They are awesome! They have great nike soles and nylon straps with plenty of velcro for those days when your tooties swell like mad. They are completely waterproof and don't slip around on my feet when they are wet. I paid about $65 for them, so they are not cheap, but your feet will thank you (not to mention your ankles, knees, hips, lower back, etc.) Good luck!

I square feet - not joking either. They are almost as wide as they are long because of my going barefoot at every opportunity. I hate wearing shoes.

While wandering through K Mart recently I found a display of clearance sandals. They were men's and appeared to be very wide so I tried on a pair and they fit perfectly! Also they were only $3.50. I took them home, wore them around and fell in love. Went back to get a couple more pairs and they were out of my size. Figures. LOL These will be my first pair of sandals. I am taking them to DW in October. You will know me because of my silly smile and the wiggle of my toes. (grin)

I love my Mephistos! I got them in France a couple of years ago and now I wear them for every trip to WDW. They are fabulous.

Another shoe I like is the Teva Mush flip flop. So comfy!! :cloud9: I actually got the men's as I liked the colors better. Right now they are $12 at LL Bean. I got a couple extra pairs so when the 2 I currently have wear out, I won't have to replace them at full price.

My two favorite shoes are a pair of Rockport Walking Shoes that are solid black (so I can wear them to work) and New Balance Sneakers.

I love Merrells. I have a sandal(thong) that I ahve worn for 3 WDW trips and also the Jungle mocs. DH now has 2 pair of Jungle Mocs and a pair of the hiking/running shoes. Feel like bedroom slippers!

I bought a pair of $20.00 Adidias sandals to wear around the pool. They were soooo comfortable I wore them in the parks and even for the walk from the boardwalk to MGM. I've tried them all. So far the Adidias has been the most comfortable for me!

I'm a nurse that used to work 12.5 hour shifts so comfy shoes were a must. On a good day I only stood up for 10 hours, on a bad day well I did go to the bathroom once during that time. Our charting stations are even made to stand up to. I tried many kinds of shoes:
Nike Yuck
Sketchers Double yuck
Reebok can't stand up to the constant wear
New Balance Okay
My favorite and ones I will always wear is Avias. They have this thing called cantiliver action. If you turn the shoe over you will see an indentation in the heel. As you walk this kind of springs your foot back up. My feet were much less tired at the end of the day. They are lightweight and flexible and can withstand the wear. I wear the cross trainer ones. I have flat feet and can't tolerate their ones made for tennis as they have a high arch in them. Most of the time I pay around $25.00 for plain white ones. Can get them even cheaper on clearance as I don't think they are a well known shoe company. Try one on one foot and something else on the other. You will feel the difference. I switch around and am mad that I didn't just get avias again
I would love to find a good sandal, unfortunately tevas are not comfortable for me either. Could never get the straps right.

Thank you all for the great ideas!
Last time I went to Disney I didn't really pay attention to what sneaker I was wearing and I ended up with really bad blisters. I am going again this November and I don't want that to happen again if I can help it ::yes::

I love new balance tennis shoes because I buy them in wide width. These is only shoes I wear to work now.

I work a baseball park and have walk on crate all the time.

Another vote for New Balance!
