Favorite Value and/or Moderate Resort?

Hello everyone,

Wanted to see which resort was your favorite...

We are trying to decide about a value resort or possibly a moderate resort.

Two adults - three kids (ages 5 and under)

and we are also paying for my parents to go with us - they will be staying in their own room...

Hi My fav value is POP as it has the pool bar and multiple pools, but with small kids I would say ASMovies for the theming.
As for a MOD I say CBR they have a new feature pool area for the kids but, I'm not a fan of the food court. My fav MOD is POR as I love the grounds and pools. If you decide for the kids go value but if for you and your parents I suggest POR.

ASMovies will be a kid fav. You can't beat a 50 ft woody or buzz, playing on RC...especially with Toy Story 3 coming out soon. Pop is really nice to, but the kids will recognize so much more at movies. For a mod, i like POR. The big paddle wheels, boat to DTD, nice food court with the huge paddle wheel, ducks to feed, lovely grounds and a nice slide and pool. You have the carraige rides, bike rentals, ent in lobby at times, boats you can rent... ASMovies will probably be the easiest and least exp for 2 rooms.

My favorite Value resort is the All Star Music. I like that they have the fun and games and movies by the pool. That ended up being one of my favorite things, swimming at night and watching a Disney movie. Plus the rooms were recently remodeled and look great.

My favorite Moderate is Port Orleans Riverside. It is beautiful and peaceful with lots of tree lined paths. I also like the boat ride to Down Town Disney, much faster and more pleasant than riding a bus. The food court at POR is the best one on Disney property, imho.

The mods just don't appeal to me at all, so I can't say much about them.

My very favorite value (have stayed at all besides ASMusic) is POP. Movies would be a far second. POP has the lake, walking path, more green grassy area, views of Spaceship Earth & the Illuminations fireworks, a better food court, and its own buses. Your kids will recognize some of the icons decorating POP, too. They have Lady & Tramp, Mowgli & Baloo, and Mr. & Mrs. Potato Head. POP also has a kiddie pool and Goofy's pop-jet fountains for kids to play in, too.

Oh, and POP, although newer than ASMovies, is getting refurbished rooms this year!

I love POP. It is so cool, I am a sentimental person so I love all that resort has to offer....a walk thru my past.

The gift shop is great, the food court fantastic with plenty of variety and the music played in the decade you are staying....beyond words. I love it!!

Haven't stayed at any of the mods but I am sure there are nice ones. I think it is all personal choice. What I like you may not. I say research all of them pick 2 that you like and then ask what you like about those specific resorts.

We've only stayed one value (for three days) and will never stay again. Our favorite moderate is the Coronado Springs Resort where we have stayed eight times and have near perfect visits every time. We have visited all of the moderates to walk around, eat and explore, and you can't go wrong with any of them. Our second choice would be POR-Riverside.

I've never stayed at a value, but have stayed at all the mods. Our favorite by far is CSR!!!!

We haven't stayed at a Value yet, but we have stayed at all the moderates. Here is how we rate them~
#1 CBR ~ Beautiful, family friendly, relaxing, tropical, great rooms, great buses, great food, and the best pools!
#2 POR ~ Also very beautiful and family friendly, great entertainment (Piano Bob), great food, and nice pool
#3 POFQ ~ Very small and quaint, family friendly
#4 CSR
