The title explains all of it. What UO memories do you wish you could forever relive?

There was one time when we were there at dusk walking through Jurassic Park. It was almost, dare I say it, magical!!!

I was lucky enough to be picked to be a Ghostbuster, not once but twice, in the original GB show (where Twister is now). I'd love to relive that one!

On a more personal note, when my youngest son was about five, I took him to the Barney show which was brand new at the time. It was the one and only time I've ever been to that show and the look on my son's face when Barney took the stage was wonderful. Now of course, he won't even admit he's ever been there but for his mom it was a special moment.

Another great moment was when my older son--the one with the smart mouth:laughing: --said something snarky to Hobgoblin who actually ran after my son and chased him all through the Spiderman store! Somehow, stuff like that never happens at Disney!! I love the "edge" at Universal.

My favorite Universal memory was the FIRST time we took my DS there. He had been really wanting to go, but we had a Disney Cruise planned. He looked at every picture he could find, read all about Universal, and kept saying, "Maybe we'll go next year."

So, the day we finished our cruise, we got off the ship, drove towards Orlando and told him he'd be able to see Universal from the road on our way home. As we got closer, we pointed out US, and he just said he couldn't wait until we could come back someday.

As we pulled into the parking lot at Portofino Bay, he finally realized that we were AT Universal Studios. It was a wonderful surprise and a great trip that foreshadowed many great trips that we've had since (including an amazing trip to Halloween Horror Nights this past October).

lots of "first" great memories.

1993 first time at universal and we played there from opening to closing.
each year from this time, i would take a pic of my boys standing near the arch entranceway. i can see how they have grown since then.

next favorite memory when they started building ioa. took so many pictures of it......i can't imagine it now ever being just one park.

taking pictures of macraven taking pictures of her sons in front of the arch entranceway. I can see how all of them have grown since then.

The look on our childrens faces the entire time we were there. We only chose to go back this year because not one single day has passed that they havent talked about Universal. My little girl pulled out the photos a couple of weeks ago and sat in a chair looking at them. I booked our hotel right after that.

One that really sticks out in my head is when my brother, friend and I rode the JPRA literally 10 times in a row. Since there was hardly anyone in line we just kept getting back on. After a few times we thought it would be fun to pose for the camera. First go round we all were stock still with no expression at all. We looked like mannequins propped up. Next drop we pretended to be sleeping, laying all over each other. Then we got really creative, we'd be reading the park maps or in the middle of a fist fight or playing paddy cake.

We got the craziest looks from the other riders when the photos came up. But once, the rest of the car decided they were going to play along with us. A guy in the front row sat forward and laid his torso, head and arms on the hood, looking like he'd been murdered. How he didn't fall out I don't know. I really wish we bought that particular picture. Everyone looked crazy.

I'm doing the best I can, I feel like crap. my wife and daughter are in Myrtle Beach, so I was planning on a solo UO day tomorrow.

not likely at this point.

hope you feel better soon.
go to uo tomorrow anyway and sneeze on people that are mean.
that will give them a favorite memory ........

do hope you recover and feel better soon. it's no fun being sick.

I was probably a preteen when this happened, but it was Mardi Gras at US and the parade was coming down the street. A male street performer came up to me and tried to shake my hand, but I put up the wrong one (right to right), then I put up my other, while he put up his (left to left). Then he grabbed my left and and gave a kiss. :goodvibes

Hey, to a kid, it's cute!

Everytime I think of Universal I think of my October Trip when, well technically we were in IOA..Anyway My family just got out of a restuarant in Suess Landings and I had my sode in my hand.Next thing I know,My sister comes and falls and knocks my soda outta my hand...lol..It was really funny.:rotfl:

For me it would the look on my children's faces the first time they saw Seuss Landing or when my son met Spiderman for the first time.

My sons first trip on the HULK. He was right under that magic mark of about 54 inches...off by a hair. They checked him downstairs, it was fine, we waited the extra time for the front row, and he got in...strapped down, and they pulled him. The girl looked and he was literally an 1/8 of an inch too short. They were going to not let him ride when the team leader looked at him and said "stand up REEEEALLY TALL" at which point he arched his feet just a little bit "Looks tall enough to me".
The look of terror on his face in the picture was priceless....but it never stopped him from doing it again, and again, and again. I think he's on his 100th ride this summer.

Now that BTTF is about to officially close, my family can look back at the great memories we had starting the day off at that ride. when the park was empty and that gates had just opened, we would walk all the way there because it was one of our favorites and became a tradition. we will REALLY miss it!

I forgot to add our memory of riding Mummy with Brendan Fraser on the opening day extravaganza.

I have great memories whenever I take someone who's never been. My 10 yo niece is coming down in a few weeks and will certainly take plenty of pix of her reaction when she sees the parks....for the first time. :thumbsup2

On our first on-site trip, DH & I spent a whole morning and part of the afternoon at US. It started to pour down rain so we ran to Margaritaville and spent hours there drinking and singing and wearing parrot masks.
We finally stumbled back to our room at RPR because we had reservations for 7 at Tchoup Chop. Well, we decided there was enough time for a quick nap... Long story short, we woke up at 10:45! :rolleyes1
I called down, explained what happened and they let us come anyway and we had one of our best meals out ever.
It was really a perfect day!:cloud9:
