Favorite Un-sung Restaurant

Olivia's @ OKW had a wonderful dinner there last year.

Biergarten is one of DH favorite.
CapeMay Clambake yummy breakfast and dinner.

When we stayed at CSR, we had dinner at the Maya Grill--wasn't expecting much but it was delicious--we were pleasantly surprised. Our other fave last trip was Le Chefs de France. We also ate at Ohana and found it to be very overrated--could have just been a bad night though.

Citricos - We've gone the last 2 years and our kids have already requested a return trip this year. The food is delicious, the service first rate and it's generally quieter than other Disney restaurants.

Maya Grill has also been a great choice when we've gone there. Food that is just a little different than what is served in most restaurants, but not overwhelming in flavor.

Olivia's is another place we enjoy a lot. You can usually get in there even without an ADR. The conch chowder is yummy!

I really want to try the Turf Club on our next trip. I've heard some good things about it. Since we will be staying virtually next door at OKW, that should be an easy one to get to. ::MinnieMo

1. Sunshine Seasons food court - A whole bunch of awesome. Variety, quality, deliciousness. We look forward to a lunch here every trip.
2. Gasparilla's Grill and Games (GF) - Three words: Reuben Hot Dog. A mindblowing cry for help disguised as food.
3. Yak and Yeti - Predictable pseudo-asian food in an awesome setting and really cool decor.

For us the MUST dos are:
Earl of Sanwich- we discovered these delicious sandwiches on our honeymoon and thinking about them now makes my tummy grumble!
Narcossees- Surf and Turf and Almond Cheescake- need I say more?
Yak & Yeti- Pot stickers!!!!!! yum:thumbsup2

We like Kona (good food and dessert).
Wolfgang Puck Express especially if you are on the dining plan. You cannot beat the type of food. It seems like it is a step above hamburgers.
Sunshine Seasons-another place with a ton of variety and good value for counter services.:cutie:

I know, everyone loves Le Cellier and O'hana. What are some of your less well known favorites and why?

Not everyone loves Le'Cellier. For me it has been the most over rated attraction at WDW to date for me.

There are many places in WDW that I like such as Ohana, Narcoossee's, Biergarten, Boma, and others. However, you asked for un-sung; so my favorite un-sung restaurant in WDW is the Captains Grille at YC. I went there for our first night of our stay at the YC and was pleasantly surprised.

In fact, I'm about to commit blasphemy against Mickey and say that I enjoyed the grilled NY strip steak with a side of sauteed buttered mushrooms at Captains Grille more than the Mushroom Filet at Le'Cellier. (There I said it). :lmao:

Flying Fish. Period.

I will also add that the Grand Floridian Cafe FAR exceeded my expectations. My husband has said the sandwich he had there was the best sandwich he has ever eaten. And the man likes sandwiches ...

Here's the description:

The Grand Sandwich - Open-faced hot Turkey, Ham, Bacon and Tomato, with a rich Boursin Cheese Sauce and Fried Onion Straws $11.99

Based on recent reviews (here and elsewhere), I'm anxious to try The Wave and Sanaa!

50's PTC! :thumbsup2

It has delicious comfort food...meatloaf, fried chicken, pot roast...yum.:woohoo:

These were the exact ones that I was thinking.:goodvibes

Garden Grille at Epcot. We had a wonderful server who took time to try and please our very picky eater DD. During our dinner the characters stopped by our table several times and Mickey even danced with our DD. The food we all thought was very good as well. I think food taste better when you have a good server and a good experience.:goodvibes
