I'm sure this has been answered before, but since I can't get the search to work today, I'll ask it again. Heck, it may have even been asked by me, but I just don't remember!

What is your favorite table service meal for a large group? We will be a party of 13 with ages including 2mo, 2yo (boy), 4yo (girl), 5yo (girl), 12yo (girl) and 8 adults 25-55. There are a few pickier eaters, but many more adventurous ones as well. We would love to be able to sit altogether, but are willing to be at smaller tables in the same area as well. I plan for us to do some character meals and some non.

Any and all opinions are more than welcome!! Thanks!!

Hi! We'll be there at the same time with our large groups, lol. Half of us are at CSR, with the other half at ASMo. Our numbers will vary throughout the trip, but at most we'll have about 17 or so. Here's what we have booked so far:

Hoop de do Review (this is our arrival night "kick off" dinner)
LeCellier
Mama Melrose's (for the FDP)
breakfast at O'Hana
Liberty Tree Tavern
Mitsukoshi Teppanyaki
50's Prime Time Cafe
Sci Fi Dine In Theater
breakfast at Whispering Canyon

We're all on the free dining plan. This is the second large group that I've planned, and we're eating at a few of the same places as before. The GG cm that I spoke with was very helpful in telling me how we would be seated at each restaurant.

Hope you guys have fun, maybe we'll run into you sometime!

We were a group of 11 last year, and we ate 4 meals together. They were all dinner, and included: Le Cellier (we had to wait for tables in the same area, so it took some time-40 mins or so past our ADR), O'Hana (we were all at the same table...it was SO much fun!), Chef Mickey's (we had 3 seperate tables, but all along the same booth seats), and Teppanyaki (this one was a little strange. We had 8 at one table and 3 at another. The table with 3's chef started before our chef, so they were done eating before we were. If we ever did this again, we wouldn't do it with a party larger than 8).

Have fun!

We have had a group of 10 at Whispering Canyon and at Cape May...both worked well for us. WCC was definitely more "active". I think eating at a buffet might be easier with such a large group (especially with little ones) so that you aren't waiting for such a large order to be brought to the table.

Good luck with your planning and enjoy your trip! :sunny:

Thanks for the suggestions so far! Many are thing I was thinking of. I probably should have included a few additional details. We will be at WDW one of the first 2 weeks of February. Of the group, 8 of them (3 kids, 5 adults) have either never been or haven't been in at least 10 years. We will be getting the dining plan and will eat our table service together most nights. The exceptions will be a couple of nights when we trade kids around so that each couples can have an evening alone.

Also, what ADR times have you found that work best for dinner. I was thinking of trying to book the earliest available times so that we have a better chance of being seated more quickly.

Thanks for the luck tiggercrew. I am SO excited about this trip because it has been 5 years in the making. In that 5 years we have added the 4 younger kids and 2 of the husbands so our group size has almost doubled.
