We were talking about toys (as in possibly intended for children toys - not the adult kind) that adults buy themselves just last night.

I admit, I have a weakness for stuffed animals, though lately I've been trying to at least size down the ones I get on each of my Disney trips (though then I end up buying more...so I'm not sure that's working out for me).

My favorite has to be my Indiana Pooh. He's so cute - he even has a whip!

pooh:

Toys are SO wasted on children. :lmao:

Not sure if you consider it a toy, but I love to buy the glowing, light up necklaces, bracelets etc. to wear to the evening parades and fireworks. This year I might have to get a light up bubble blower.

A light up bubble blower? I was unaware of it's existance. What exactly lights up? :confused3

When we were there in May, they had a bubble blower that looks sort of like an oversized squirt gun. It was battery operated and you put bubbles in it and when you pulled the trigger, the handle lit up and bubbles came out the end. Not sure if they still have them.

My favorites are the plush Disney characters dressed in costumes. Besides Indiana Pooh, I also have Jedi Mickey (complete with lightsaber!). And I have an Irish Minnie. But I'm kicking myself for passing on the Jack Sparrow Goofy - I hope they still have it when I'm back in December...

OOooh! I ws just going to say my bubble gun- Here's a pic, they had them at the Toy story kiosks at DS and the big Main street store at MK.

So then I'll go with the other thing I couldn't leave behind, the stuffed little green man, who shakes when you squeeze him, and says "Oooh! Aaah! The coming of the chosen one demands celebration!"

i love the stuffed themed mickeys, also not really a toy but the wdw magnets...the pressed pennies are pretty cool too:goodvibes

Does the Mickey ice cube tray count as a toy? The little Mickey ice cubes make me smile when cooling off my Pinot Grigio. :lmao:

My favorite has been the stuffed Stitch I bought myself. I went back and forth, trying to justify spending $25 on a "silly" stuffed animal... But I'm so glad I finally caved. I love that guy. He's soooo soft, and just the right level of squishiness, and just feels perfect when I hug him. DS rolls his eyes at me, but that's okay. So do a lot of people, lol.

I bought one of the Andy Warhol-esque Mickeys in September as it was a little different. They came in pink, yellow and turqoise. I bought the turquoise one.

delaneyc52, I've got those crocs - but mine are BRIGHT pink!

And kaybird - I WANT ONE OF THOSE!!!

Well both are pretty cool - but I want the little stuffed guy. I'd seen them before, but I didn't know it spoke! Must HAVE!!!

:yay: :yay: :yay:

Husband - collects Mr. Potatohead parts

Me- Beaker Keychain, Beaker was the nickname I gave DH in HS because he was a super-tall, thin, red-headed, science geek.

My all-time favorite souvenir was not a toy, but an oil painting giclee "Micasso" which is now my DIS profile pic.

Fun thread!!!

I'm another die-hard fan of stuffed animals- I have way too many to count!! I get at least one every trip to WDW. Last year, I bought a stuffed Dumbo and a stuffed Chesire Cat- they are both so soft and so cute! I have all the Stitch stuffed animals (of course!! :stitch: ), and I love my giant Stitch- you know, the one that costs $50!! My parents got it for me when we were there over my 18th birthday a couple years ago.

I also like collecting pins (I have all the Stitch pins), but I don't trade them- I buy them just to put on my bulletin board at home!

I think my favorites from the last trip we took, which was only my 2nd trip lol, was my blinking light up necklace, my Stitch stuffed animal and my princess Mickey ears hat with the tiara and long veil or sash thing in the back.

I always get my nephew something that is "cars" themed. I know I can't go wrong with that.

I have a black digital Mickey watch thar water resistant to 50 meters. It looks like a regular sports watch except it has a mickey headwith arms in a running position wearing a watch. I wear it everywhere and doing everything. I run 4 times a week, swim and bike when I can, Kayak once a week, body surf at the beach in the summer and Ski in the winter. It is like the old timex commercials being banged dunked scraped and generally abused. Unfortunately, the battery only lasts about two years, but that's Ok because that is just about how often we go to WDW. One of the first things I do when we get to our resort is to check the resort gift shop so I know if I have to search other gift shops for the watch. I also wear it at work and I love sitting in a meeting and having the person next tome say "Is that a Mickey watch" Its like the ultimate hidden Mickey.

Mr. Potato Head. Just the pieces.

Oo!! I have to amend my previous post... I do adore my stuffed Stitch very much, but equal to him and possibly even more is my love for my "Magic Moments" pins. :lovestruc I hate that they discontinued them -- I'm so glad I got a few!! And best of all, they still work at the parks (at least as of last December), which makes me unspeakably happy. :cloud9:

You know - I've been eyeing the Star Wars Mr. Potato Heads every time I go through Star Tours. Of course, this trip the ride will be closed. I wonder - is the store closed too?

I'm so ashamed of my crass materialism. OK, not really - but I can pretend to be. :rotfl:
