What were some of your favorite things you did on your wedding trip whether with your family or just your husband?

I'm looking forward to...
  • Dinner at Cinderellas Royal Table (just the two of us)
  • Welcome dinner at the Hoop Dee Doo with family
  • Farewell breakfast day after the wedding at Ohana to get family pictures with Mickey
  • Monorail bar crawl with family
  • Spa day at GF day before the wedding with my mom
  • Hanging at the pool during the day and parks for dinner and to see shows at night (going in June)
I think they would also like Jellyrolls but it is hard to fit into our schedule.

Wedding Rehearsal Dinner at Hoop Dee Doo
Bridal Portrait at MK and Epcot
Going to Epcot the day after with group of friends
Last day at Hollywood Studios with Best Man

  • Dinners for just the couple!! Dead serious on this one, especially if you're like us and your family lingers for your entire time at WDW.
  • Enjoying the park atmosphere rather than running from ride to show to reservation to fast pass
  • Room service breakfast!

  • Enjoying the Food & Wine Festival with our guests
  • Our rehearsal dinner at the Cabana Bar and Beach Club
  • Our afterparty at Jellyrolls
  • Eating the top tier of our cake and drinking champagne on the balcony of our savanna view villa at Animal Kingdom Lodge
  • Dinner at Victoria and Albert's
  • Running the Jingle Jungle 5k
  • Attending the Wine & Dine half marathon afterparty at Epcot
  • Attending Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party

Where is the Cabana Bar and Beach club?

Your wedding trip sounds amazing.

Omg I never knew of them but I just looked at the menu yum yum yum. Was your rehearsal private there?
Sort of. It's all outdoor seating, so nothing is completely private. They sectioned off one of the cabanas to the side of the bar for us and rearranged the seating so that we had our own space. It felt fairly secluded despite being next to a pool and a pretty happening bar.

They do have private dining menus in addition to the regular one, and we were able to customize the menu. They set it up kind of like buffet stations, and they kept refilling the food for as long as people continued to eat it.

They also allowed my in-laws to partially host the bar. The first two rounds were on the in-laws, and then people could open up their own tab if they wanted more. The bartenders and servers were fantastic at keeping track.

It was a lot of fun, and people raved about the food.

That sounds awesome Melissa!! Thank you so much for letting me know about this!

Wedding Night ....dinner JUST US at Victoria and Alberts...

Best....thing.....ever....

With my parents there the whole trip it got a bit too much at moments but that night being just us. It was so amazing to just relax and be just us.

Also on that note the Park shoot the next morning after the wedding at DHS and Epcot. Sure you're with the photographers but it's before the park opens and it's just you two and it was really soothing. We were tired and I crashed that afternoon but I loved that morning so much.

I love my family but those snatched moments....like a drink at the Saana lounge at Kidani village one early evening...of just us...while my dress was being steamed...they were the best...

The fun of planning. The anticipation. Choosing options and discussing them with my fiance. So much fun. Arriving at the GF on DME--finally there!!!

Watching the sun come up over the lake on my wedding day from the balcony of my room at the GF, sipping the room service coffee my husband had sent up--a huge splurge for my fiscally conservative husband and such a sweet gesture--he knows I love my java! Having that quiet time to myself to reflect and ask for God's blessing in my private prayer time was just so lovely. I felt like I floated through the entire day.

Seeing my husband for the first time before the wedding, dressed in his suit. He looked so handsome and...solid. (Lol--not sure how to describe how I felt. Loved, safe.) The look on his face when he saw me. (Worth all the planning and stress.)

The perfect strangers that wished us well and complimented us. :goodvibes How sweet everyone was.

Hearing the string quartet playing "It's a Wonderful World" and realizing my husband had asked them to play it because he always said I made his world wonderful. So touched but too happy to cry!

Seeing my flowers for the first time--exceeded every expectation! The cake--unbelievable and so *us*.

Eating the left over cake and drinking flat champagne the morning after our wedding. So decadent and unhealthy and...wonderful.

Laughing together at Victoria and Albert's because it was so dark in there and we felt like we had to whisper. The more we tried not to laugh the more we laughed, know that thing that happens? It was like being in a library during a power outage. Still treasure the personalized menu, though.

MVMCP and watching wishes as "husband and wife". How my husband changed (in a good way) to actually being more protective and caring than he had been.

So many happy memories, honestly, I couldn't list them all.

i wish every Dis Bride so many happy memories that if someone asks you what yours are, you can't even begin to list them all! :tink:

Rehearsal dinner at the Poly, we had a luau.
Dessert party in Epcot, we had a section roped off in Italy by the water and bridge, with the firework, Illumination show. When we (bridal party and all guests) arrived at Epcot is was at the very end of the parade. We were just led in right behind the back of the parade and walked till we got to our area. The crowd was cheering and wishing us well. It was fantastic! I will never forget it.
Bridal party at the GF

Our 2 week anniversary dinner was at Hoop Dee Doo, we were upgraded to front and centre and they made us a big part of the show when they found out we were married at WDW just two weeks before.

Welcome breakfast at Boma with everyone
Bridal Tea with my girls at the Garden View Tea Room
Our Wishes Dessert Party - everyone loved this so much!
Our first breakfast as a married couple at the Grand Floridian Cafe

Enjoy every second, it flies by so fast!
