Favorite thing on the Magic?

I have always thought the decor and ambiance on the Magic was just a little classier than on the Wonder. But while the Wonder was our first cruise ever, the Magic holds a special place because it was our first 7-day and we just fell in love with her and her crew. And now having been on all the ships, I am looking forward to being back on the smaller Magic next year. I find her cozier and love the smaller atrium and Mickey at the wheel!

And can some explain -- what is the snuggly duckling? I have not experienced that event.

I have yet to experience O'Gills turned into the Snuggly Duckling but that is the name of the tavern that Rapunzel and Flynn go to and encounter all the ruffians and where they sing "I've got a Dream"

Ohhhh, got it. Thanks much.

I hadn't realized that. But, I wish they could have figured out either an earlier set or late set. We went to the Snuggly Duckling about 40 minutes early, and couldn't even get in. I managed to squeeze in to get a couple of pictures, but already it was hot, stuffy, and packed in there. There was no place for us that we would have been able to see anything. So, sadly, we left.
And why didn't you post a picture for me Princess???? You're slippin' :rotfl2:

The Magic has the best itinerarys other than that its not much different then the Wonder. The Wonder is in better condition even without being rehabed.

That's interesting because we thought the opposite. Now it's been years since we've been on the Wonder, but having sailed on the Magic and then going back on the Wonder the first time, we thought the Wonder looked much more worn and threaded. We chalked it up to the fact that they were doing 2 cruises a week with more traffic while the Magic was doing one turnover a week. But we haven't been back on the Wonder in ten years.

The Magic seems to have a lot of plumbing issues. I always see wet vacs and plumbers fixing things in the hallways mostly on deck 2. They have refurbished the rooms on the Wonder, and I'm sure it's been dry docked a few times over the last 10 years. Our best cruise (Hawaii) was on the Wonder, and our last cruise(Iceland) was on the Magic. Our last cruise had the best destinations, but the cruise itself was just meh. It could be me maybe I'm just tired of DCL and need a break....something new.
When I look back at my favorite DCL cruises they coincidentally are the first cruise we took on each ship. Hawaii( Wonder) Magic(Southern Caribbean) Fantasy( Western Caribbean). There is a lot to be said about the excitement of trying a new ship.

I loved the Twist and Spout. It never had a line and was just the right level of intensity for me. Didn't try the AquaDunk because water slides like that freak me out. Also I cruised before Tangled was the show, but I remember loving Twice Charmed!

I'll never stay on deck 2 of the Magic again. I had a cabin on Deck 2 in March 2015, so this was post re-imagination, and the whole deck had issues. A good chunk of the hallway flooded while I was there, apparently that's really common on that deck. My cabin smelled extremely dank/moldy. I was having really bad allergy issues and was avoiding the cabin because I'd get a headache if I spent too long in it. After a few days of feeling sick after being in the cabin and feeling almost immediately better upon leaving it and going to other decks, I complained and was moved to a new cabin on Deck 5.

Agree. Nothing like that first time of awe.

Like others have said, I'm emotionally attached to the Magic for personal reasons, in our case because it's the ship we were sailing on when we got married at Castaway Cay. But I also just like the ambience and feel. I've sailed on the Magic and the Wonder and I love both but the Magic, to me, has something special about it. I love the slides, the staff, and the shows!

The Magic has the best shows in the fleet now.
