We just changed sailings from a B2B on the Wonder on 10/1/17 to the 8 night Bahamian out of NYC on the Magic for 10/6/17. The Magic is the only DCL ship we haven't been on and want to know, What's your favorite thing about her?

I'm really looking forward to Tangled!

Well, since we sailed her Maiden Voyage back on July 30, 1998 I have strong emotional attachment to the Magic. It was her first official cruise and our first cruise ever! Can't wait to be back onboard on Saturday in Barcelona for the TA back to NY.

I can't pick one favorite thing but I like all things about her. She is Art Deco design which I like. She is not much different than the Wonder (other than the refurb which the Wonder will get as well). There is just a vibe about the Magic that I love. Can't wait to see Tangled.

I've done two transatlantic cruises on the Magic and I've really gotten to know the crew so that would have to be my favorite thing about the ship. I do enjoy the aquadunk (when the lines are not too long) and the intimacy of the smaller ships. I also like the morning information show with Natalie. Obviously the different shows that are on the ship are a nice change as well.

For us she is home, first cruise for us and the most of the four ships. Very similar to the wonder in a lot of ways. We just like being able to use the quiet cove pool to be able to swim mini laps. If you like faster water slides, the Dunk is a lot of fun. Just gives you that similar feel that you get on the Wonder, while not everyone knows your name, you sure run into a lot of the same staff and guests throughout your cruise.

Interesting that @mmouse37 and @ludari shared the similar thoughts, I hadn't seen their posts before I posted. There is just something about the Magic that many of us encounter.

Tanlged is amazing. The concierge lounge over looking the adult pool and Gyro/shawarma station are both good things as well.

I didn't read all of the other answers, so someone may have said this already.

My favorite things to do are to on the magic:
-Watch Movies
- Eat
- Shows
- Chill on the pool deck
- Meet characters
- Explore
- I'm 16, so I go to the vibe :)
- Free Soda!!!
- Ice Cream
- Go to cooking classes
- Animator workshops
- Improv Workshops
- Dance Parties :)
- And, FOOD! Lol

Difficult to pick something that is unique to the Magic as a lot of the features are on all the ships... Or at least on two of them.

My first thought was the adult pool area, but this is identical to the Wonder.

So, the one unique feature that I really enjoyed about the Magic is Keys, the bar. I thought this was a beautiful space! And their signature cocktails are a bit of a show when they are served.

Wait, you are leaving us on the back-to-back? That is not cool. :)

Oh, and my favorite thing on Disney Magic is the verandah club.

I know, I bummed about the B2B cruise but so excited to try the Magic. And I'm so not surprised by your favorite thing! Hopefully we'll get a chance to cruise together some other time, or just meet somewhere since we live 1/2 mile away from each other!

My favorite thing on the Magic is Tangled and turning O'Gills into the Snuggly Duckling.

The biggest issue I had with turning O'Gills into the Snuggly Duckling was there was only one "show" there that night. I mean, trying to put a thousand people in that one spot for one event was just madness. It was hot, crowded, noisy, and you couldn't see anything.

The single show scheduling was unique to our cruise (2016 ebta) and was because we ended up with pirate night and tangled on the same night. We were originally supposed to have Tangled on day 8 and pirate night on day 7, but ended up having them rescheduled to both on day 11. That meant mainstays could only work the family Snuggly Duckling takeover, and there was no adult Snuggly Duckling takeover later in the evening because of pirate scheduling.
I missed the takeover due to palo, but am looking forward to seeing it next week!

On both nights of our B2B, the Snuggly Duckling was was not that crowded and we got great seats. Not convinced many actually came to this event. It was a lot of fun though.

If Rob Sanders is playing piano somewhere and singing, you need to check him out. He is a DCL employee, but played keys one night and flat out blew away the payed guy they bring on. he also did songs late night in the snuggly duckling on tangled night. he does an incredible version of Ed Scheeran's Photograph.

I have always thought the decor and ambiance on the Magic was just a little classier than on the Wonder. But while the Wonder was our first cruise ever, the Magic holds a special place because it was our first 7-day and we just fell in love with her and her crew. And now having been on all the ships, I am looking forward to being back on the smaller Magic next year. I find her cozier and love the smaller atrium and Mickey at the wheel!

And can some explain -- what is the snuggly duckling? I have not experienced that event.

I hadn't realized that. But, I wish they could have figured out either an earlier set or late set. We went to the Snuggly Duckling about 40 minutes early, and couldn't even get in. I managed to squeeze in to get a couple of pictures, but already it was hot, stuffy, and packed in there. There was no place for us that we would have been able to see anything. So, sadly, we left.
