Favorite thing about DVC?

Keep these great posts coming! I am a glass full kind of person, life is what you make it and So is a vacation. If your glass is getting to the half full stage pour in some more beverage. Thanks for the great stories.

We raised our sons in the 1980s and went to WDW every 3 years, now that we have DGC, they've been to WDW at least 2-3 times a year since they've been coming with us. That's since they've been 1,2 and 3 and now they are 6, 7 and 8. We could not have these wonderful times if it weren't for our DVC.

We've been blessed to be able to share with other family members. Our first major family vacaton was in 2004, for mom's 85th birthday. We owned 300 points then, and were able to get 4 studios and a 2 bedroom at BWV for a wonderful 4 night vacation at mom's favorite resort.

I've posted this picture before, but it reminds me that it's not only for the DGC, it was a way to say THANK YOU to my mom, for having me.

I've had many wonderful CM's over the years, but I don't know the name of the one who helped my family the most. The Boston branch of the family were for the first time coming down without DH's or my help. They arrived at the BCV and the room wasn't ready. The DGC were probably 4, 5 and 6 and DS/DDiL were sort of overwhelmed with what they were going to do. The wonderful CM said "Wait just a minute." When she returned it was with 5 free passes for the day to Epcot! She advised them regarding where to store the stuff they had, and told them to go and have a great time, which they did.

Gosh, I love this picture, Bobbi.
Your Mom looks so beautiful and happy.
I want to take my Mom, now 81, but can't convince her.
She thinks it would all be just too much activity, and has no desire to go.
I tell her we could do as little as she wants, just go to World Showcase and out to dinner, but she just has no interest. Really too bad.

Having decided that we enjoy regularly vacationing at Disney properties, it became a financial decision.
-DVC allows us to stay in 2bdrm suites in a deluxe resort at a more affordable rate.
-Because we have "prepaid", we take regular vacations.
-Knowing that we will back soon, our park pace is more relaxed.
-We enjoy planning our trips to maximize our points.
-We are able to share these deluxe resort experiences with family and friends.

My favorite thing about DVC? The NEXT trip, the trip after that, and the one after that, the one coming after that, the trip after that, . . . . . :cool1:

(And as my DW would say; and it's all free! . . . . . . I know, I know, but that is another thread . . . )

There are all sorts of moms. When I had asked my mom how she wanted to spend her 85th birthday, she's the one who said, "at Disney!" It was that answer that caused us to look again into DVC and we bought in 2003, and her birthday party was in December 2004. The blizzard in December that year, caused all sorts of havoc for us all as we returned home.

Find something your mom does like, and I hope you make wonderful memories too!

It is my HAPPY PLACE !!!!!!!

Most be who know me know I am more of the glass is half empty type of person. I call it like it is ...... I dont drink the "Kool-Aid"...and have been asked more than once, "why do you always have to be so negative?"

However, I have NEVER had a bad time at Disney. Or on DCL. And this is why I go back over and over again. IMHO Disney just does it right! :thumbsup2

I read all different posts and feel bad for everyone that has had a bad time or a bad experience. I always figured this would be me. Nope I am happy as a clam while at Disney and if I wasnt , TRUST me you would know.
