DFi and I will be at WDW in June on our honeymoon for ten days. We're not going to be on the dining plan, and we won't be able to eat at $$$ places every day! Can anyone suggest some good table service restaurants or counter service places that are only $ or $$? We want to make this special without breaking the bank! Thanks :)

We ate at Alfredo's (Italy pavilion at Epcot) for the first time this summer. I can't remember for sure, but I think it was marked $$. My meal (steak with gorgonzola) was expensive, but DH had the pasta trio, and I think it was reasonable.

I would also consider going to lunch rather than dinner at the table service restaurants, most have a similar menu for less.

Beirgarten was good and reasonable as are trail's end and wcc (last 2 for brfst espcecially around $10 each for ayce)

agree with the lunch idea..we always do that and eat agood steak type meal for lots less.

also for about $30 we spent the day eating one thing from each ws cs and spliting it( usually unless it was small), enough for lunch and dinner

beaches & cream is a reasonable sit down hamburger place

tusker house is a good counter place and the studio comm. at mgm sounds good(new er menu of middle east type stuff) as is tangerine cafe in epcot( huge splitable paltters)

if you haven't go to www.allearsnet.com and look at the menus under dining

Thanks guys, this is a big help...

Great thread, and good answers, everyone. Any other suggestions?

We'll be in WDW at the end of January for our very first trip. After 4 days on the Wonder, we'll have a few days at OKW. We won't have APs, so can't take advantage of that dining plan and we booked OKW on DVC points, so no package DDE. It'll be cash all the way. We enjoy fine dining, but may need to economize a bit.

Your advice is welcome!

Mama Melrose, Concourse Steakhouse, Tonys, Olivias, Boatwrights, Shutters come to mind as $$ table service spots.
