Hello! I was wondering what everyone's favorite sunscreens are for their Disney World trip.

in the past the waterproof ones I have used make me feel sweaty, clog my pores, and make me break out. Also, DH prefers a spray sunscreen but are those the kind you use on your face too???

Normally I use Aveeno for face washing and am leaning towards their brand of sunscreen but haven't tried it.

I saw some threads on this a while back but can't find them now! Can anyone help??

I love the spray sunscreens too for Florida, but with flying there I'm guessing I'm going to have to purchase them once I get there. When I stay at my parents' place, my dad has that Ocean Potion brand and I love that simply because it smells like creamsicles LOL.
Haven't found a great 'face' sunscreen but I always take lots of Clinique face moisturizer whatever you call it (all the samples from all the free stuff bags go directly into my Disney/Florida bag LOL) for the end of the night.

Hands down the best suncreen I have ever used.:worship: I am a fair-skinned redhead, and burn very easily. This stuff is expensive, but I figure it is better than getting skin cancer. It is Face and Body Lotion for Sensitive Skin, not greasy at all, and does not cause my skin to break out.

I have been using the Neutrogena Fresh Cooling Body Mist (45) with their Healthy Defense Oil-Free Sunblock Stick and loved both of them. However, I recently found they have a new product for kids called Waterguard Kids Sunblock Mist SPF 70+, that is hypo-allergic and oil-free and I am hooked. I don't care if it is made for kids, it is the best sun-protection I have ever used. I am extremely pale, and with living only 2 miles from the beach we are outside A LOT! I have tried tons of different products and found Neutrogena's line a couple of years ago and have been hooked ever since. Prior to that I was using Blue Lizard which is amazing (but I did tend to break-out on my back and face from it) but so expensive when you go thru as much as we do during the summer.

I love banana boat. It is in a yellow tube, it is super thiink and doesnt come off. I applied it 1 time to my nephew which was 2 at the time and we went to the beach and no replys and he didnt get burnt after about 5 hrs. It is wonderful. We plan to use it in the am and then reapply with the banana boat spray in the afternoon. I got 3 bottles of it for about 10 bucks at sams.

Thanks for the recommendations! :thumbsup2 I guess the key is looking for ones specifically oil free or for sensitive skin.

I have some good coupons that expire soon so I wanted to buy some sunscreen with them.

Another one for Neutrogena sunscreen!!! The BEST!! I can't stand that greasy gross I've got sunsceen on feeling:scared: , You won't get that with Neutrogena!!:thumbsup2

Blue Lizard....hands down.

It is also the sunscreen my dermatologist recommends, and you can get it at CVS. It is very thick so you don't need too much. I wish you could get it in a spray.

According to my Dermatologist, you should only buy sunscreen that has either titanium dioxide or zinc oxide as one of the active ingredients. Many/Most sunscreens on the shelf don't contain these. I am allergic to someting in many sunscreens, and I have rosacea...very sun sensitive. i love Blue Lizard.

As the mother of 2 fair skinned children wo also have very sensitive skin, the BEST product I have found is Nutrogena Dry-Touch sunscreen it comes in SPF up to 70+ and it is AWESOME!!!

You must try this one!!
Have a safe and sunburn free trip!

My kids have sensitive skin and even react to the pricey Neutrogena and Aveeno ones on their faces. I use the Coppertone spray for arms and legs, it's convenient and they've never burned or broken out from it. But the best one I have found for faces is actually Mary Kay. I know crazy, right? But my neighbor recommended it and its the best I've found for faces.

Best one I've used yet and I have a sun allergy!!!!

I love Absolutely Natural. You can only get it at resorts or online and it's a little expensive, but it's all natural, no chemicals and it works great!

I love the no-ad sunscreen for my body and either neutrogena or aveno for my face. i always get an oil-free and if I can find it a clarifying. It seems to ward off any breakouts that sunscreen will cause.

Around here you can get the Neutrogena dry touch in spf 85 in the tube or spf 70 in the spray. I love both and wouldn't use any other sunscreen. I love that it doesn't have that greasy feeling that other sunscreen leaves, plus I've never gotten sunburned when I use it.

My favorite is Australian Gold Spray Gel SPF 30....found it at the Orlando/Sanford Airport....has become our family's favorite....I like the sprays but when windy (where we live in PA) it seems wasteful and doesn't apply that well. Better than the lotions as it absorbs very quickly and doesn't leave that greasy lotioney feeling....

They make a SPF 15 with a built in bronzer too.

Will have to go into our checked bag though because of size!

I have worn Neutrogena sunscreens for years, and have had great luck with them. I like the spray-on for legs and arms and chest, and the lotion ones for face. (You can use their "Dry Touch" one if you want a lotion; it has a nice texture and isn't sticky or oily. They also make ones for sensitive skin and other formulations.)

The only other type of sunscreen I use is specifically for the waterparks. It's the Coppertone sport spray (in the blue bottle). That stuff goes on like cement - I had to scrub really hard with a soapy washcloth to get it off! But it really lasts when you're in and out of the water all day. I would never use it for everyday use (I disliked the texture) but for water sports, it's great!

Wow, with so many recommendations I'm definitely going to have to try out some Neutrogena sunscreen!

Another question, how MUCH sunscreen do you bring with you on your trip???? We are going for about a week.

So far I bought two normal sized spray bottles of sunscreen (there are two of us going so one for each) and one bottle of face sunscreen. Is one spray bottle for a week for one person enough or do I need more????

I was just at my dermatologists office on Tuesday. I have an olive skin tone, but have extremely oily skin that will break out easily if I do not watch it. He recommended the Neutrogena brand as well, in particular, the healthy defense line. He recommended it so as not to make my face any oilier and to prevent breakouts!! Good luck, I think you have enough sunscreen, but buying an extra bottle wouldn't hurt. I believe they have a long shelf life and usually have an expiration date.
