We are starting to think about a trip for fall 2016, DD will be 5 and I would guess she will ring in around 44 inches and 45-50 lbs.

Last May (she was 3.5) we brought our stroller from home and it was awesome. We have always brought our stroller from home for Disney trips and I'm a fan, but I don't think she will fit in it next year

Any recommendations for a stroller for a big kid? I prefer cheap (less than 150) and it would be great if we could use it for her next Disney trip after that too!

Do you like jogging-style?

Thanks!!!

Not that cheap, but we had an awesome experience with a Baby Jogger City Elite on our trip. DD was the same age, and just about the same size if not a tiny bit taller. She had plenty of room, great big canopy for shade, fully reclined for naps, easy to maneuver and fold up. We had room for small cooler and bag in the under seat storage. It worked out so well we are planning on taking it next trip too - she still has plenty of room. I would recommend getting the cup holder attachment.

That was the age and size we decided to rent in the park if necessary. We only rented one time because I thought he needed it for our late late night. Nope, refused to ride in it. He did fit just fine and was easy to push when I made him try it for like 5 minutes so that would be my recommendation. Unless next trip is very soon after the first....its a chance she will not need one then. I absolutely am not saying she won't need one, she very well may.....just we had a hard time finding a stroller that was not too expensive that would fit a child of that size. We had budgeted and were prepared to rent every day if we needed it.

The City Mini GT has been great for my ds, even this past September at 7 years old (although, that was probably the last time he will fit). We rented it (3 different trips) from Orlando Stroller Rentals.

We used a umbrella when dd was in Kindergarten. The next spring break though she had to walk. Oh my goodness she got whiny. Thank goodness we always go back to the room midday. Now she is 9 and she is good to go. :)

City Elite from Kingdom Strollers or other offsite rental company that delivers to your resort. We used for 6yo and it was great. Biggest sunshade I have ever seen, easy to push, and easy enough to fold.

We have only used a stroller for Disney for a few years now, and we really like the City Mini jogging stroller. It is probably around $250, but you may find a discount. It is very easy to travel with and fit our older son (who is very big for his age) until he was 5.

Chicco Echo - we have used that the last few trips. It folds like an umbrella stroller, but still has the basket, sunshade, and reclines but is only about $100. My 9 yo could still sit in it comfortably w/o his head hitting the sunshade, when we used it last Dec. at USO for my then 5 yo. He is small for his age but he was definitely more than 44 in. last year. Another note is that the handles are higher than most umbrellas as well, which my tall DH appreciates when pushing it. It's very uncomfortable for him to push a normal umbrella stroller.
